IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
With MST Hubs, it is easy to add additional displays to your system, but it depends on the function that the graphics cards work properly. Please contact us if you are not sure about your purchase.
1) Please make sure the DisplayPort or Mini DisplayPort is DP v1.2 or later. This is the most important standard. If you are unsure please contact the video card or system manufacturer.
2) Mac OS does not support MST function, only mirrors the display.
3) Install the latest driver for video card. Find the latest driver by direct access to the manufacturer or chipset owner of system/video cards, such as AMD, Nvidia, Intel Updating drivers by device manager will not get the latest available drivers.
4) MST Hub cannot increase the display number supported by video cards. Regardless of the number of display connectors built into the video card, the number of displays each video card can support! With current experience, AMD and NVIDIA video cards support up to 4 displays and Intel supports up to 3. If you are unsure please contact the video card or system manufacturer.
5) Please refer to the bandwidth table to make sure that additional displays can be accommodated. If you display a 4K monitor in 1080p, the link will get 4K bandwidth and reduce the overall bandwidth of other displays.
6) Use the active converter such as gofanco DPHDMIA-4K, DPDVIA, DPVGA to connect HDMI, DVI, VGA monitor to our DisplayPort MST hub.
7) Microsoft Surface "Dock" is not compatible with Mini DisplayPort MST hubs, do not use when Surface Dock is connected. It works when connected directly to the surface tablet/book.
