Fantastic stuff, use a calculator
If you need this to perform for a specific frequency, check the manufacturer’s website for damping calculators to see which thickness and durometer works best. I used mine to pack engine mounts targeting a specific frequency. Also worked generically to help make standoffs for TV soundbar.

Good shock absorber but it's short of 36". It's only 35" & 5/16.
I decided to keep it because I need it. I use it as heel pads. But seller should not shortchange its buyers by claiming that it's 36" long when it's not. It's not a cheap product.

Great Sorbothane product
Who doesn't need bits of Sorbothane to damp resonances. Works great.

I highly recommend this to anyone looking for an affordable sound isolation ...
I'm an audiophile on a budget. As it stands, I have my Ascend Acoustic 170se's sitting on my desktop. I ordered this product as an affordable alternative to provide isolation from my desk for my speakers, DAC, and amp, as well as my subwoofer from my apt's floor. So far, the results are nothing short of impressive, especially given the prices charged for similar "audiophile" sound isolation products. The soundstage has gained depth, more definitive separation of voices and instruments, and detail and clarity both seem to have benefited. I highly recommend this to anyone looking for an affordable sound isolation solution, the caveat being I'm new to all this and have no experience with other products! I will say, though, that to these ears this product has had a positive impact on the sound of my system while taking nothing away. For less than $40, I can't think of a better way to improve the sound of your system if your setup is anything like mine. Happy listening!

Great for Hifi equipment
Bought to put under the feet of my vintage turntable and the table it sits on. Easy to cut and stays in place with the sticky texture. I think I do notice a difference in sound! Less vibration means better tracking of the groove. Totally worth it, also put strips under my CD player.

Love sorbothane. I can't get enough of it
Love sorbothane. I can't get enough of it. Got this at the right price but it went up. Nothing works better on a turntable in the right places to bring out more detail and widen the soundstage than this visco elastic polymer.

Just the thing to quiet my air conditioner
Put a strip of 50 duro under my window AC and cut noise and vibration by more than half. Including compressor on/off clunk. Just the thing for sleeping, especially if you have one of the new low noise AC models.Cuts easily with sharp utility knife and sticky enough to stay in place. 1/2 inch was probably more needed, 1/4 is probably the sweet spot. Considering a thinner piece on top to better isolate the window itself.
