Works well; doesn’t overcharge/overheat battery
Charges the batteries as expected. The charger that’s actually MADE by Makita actually makes the battery hot while charging; this one doesn’t do that. I’m going to guess it has some sort of built-in overcharge protection. Either way it seems to be working well!

Works great
Value was good. Cheaper than buying a questionable used one.

You might need to move the charging leads in the battery port.
Very well built, I'm pretty sure it came from the same factory as my original charger. I did have to disassemble it and move the negative charging lead to the 9 o'clock position from the 6 o'clock position so it would match my old charger and work with my 14.4 batteries. FYI and you are looking down at the charging port with the power cord pointed at you 12 o'clock it straight up. This is the only reason I gave it 4 stars.

I'd give a zero if I could
I bought this to charge my 3 Makita drill motor batteries it worked for the 7.2V & the 9.6V batteries but would not fully charge the 12V battery, that was when I first bought it in October I went to use it today & when I put the battery in it flashed a spark out the battery slot & now won't work. Of course it's probably out of warranty if there ever was one.I'm done with CHEAP CHINESE CRAP!

Does not charge my batteries
This product did not work to charge my batteries. Tried 3 different batteries. Light came on green, but there was no change in the light when inserting the battery. Thought, meh, maybe it is just the light. But dead batteries go in and after a day or so, dead battery comes out.
