Excellent kit. I used it to create my calming corner at school. Everything is of great quality and the glue help it perfectly to the wall.

This kit is perfect for preschoolers. The weight of the bear is great for providing sensory input and sensory tiles provide additional sensory opportunities for students needing various textures to explore. The visual cards containing examples/pictures of ways for young children can calm down make this kit a must-have for preschool classrooms.

It came with a little bit of everything to help students calm down and relax. The weighted teddy bear is what really helps most of my students relax.

Works well with 6 year olds

The beads inside the bear smell really funky. You can't wash the beads but we tried spraying lysol on it and it won't go away. As long as the bear isn't near your face it's fine. Other than that, amazing kit!

The media could not be loaded. Love love loved this for Christmas for my boys. My son has autism and he needed a place to go to when he was feeling overwhelmed or overstimulated. Perfect start , i added a few fidgets but it came with a few . The grass thing to feel he loves. The posters are easy to understand even if you can't read. Great alternative to old fashioned " time outs" i will say though it was pretty spendy

When I get my Calm Place set up, I will hopefully remember to update this review with new pictures. I've got memory issues, so I might not. Here's the important thing: this kit is excellent for adults like me who are dealing with anxiety and the stresses of some cognitive and mental issues. I expect it's also very good for children in a classroom, but I can't personally speak to that. What I can say is that it's helping me a lot.I trace the star in Star Breathing and calm myself down BEFORE panic hits. Seeing the posters keeps the calming techniques more in the forefront of my mind. Plus, the bear is adorable, and super soft. He weighs a little over a pound more than my other weighted bear. This makes him a bit too heavy to sit on my head, but he feels VERY soothing stretched across my back, and his shape is wide enough to sit on my actual big grown-up lap. I like the sensory soothing items in the bin, especially the fake grass mat. The bin itself is very nice, a good place to store the different items. I was touched by the thoughtfulness of the manufacturer: including the double-sided strips with which to hang the posters is such a kind touch. I've been learning cognitive behavioral therapy to help reduce my extreme anxiety. The charts and cards in this kit are tools for me to use to remember how to calm down. I know Rainbow Grounding. But when I have a panic attack, I don't REMEMBER Rainbow Grounding. Now, all I will have to do is get to my Calm Place. I've had to call for help because I am so scared. I'm glad there are people willing to help me, but I want to take care of my own self. Asking myself, "What do you need?" helps me do that. And I love the Size of the Problem chart! The actual act of evaluating how bad things are, calms me down and helps me cope. When it comes down to it, I have to help my own self, care for my own self. The tools in this kit are helping me do so, in a gentle and nonjudgmental way.
