Does the job well !!
Excellent addition to my gardening tool kit. Light and easy to use with a very sharp cutting action for cutting those small branches with little effort 👍

It's Okay
I had used a Fiskars lopper before, but expected too much of it (my fault, not the tool). When I saw this I thought it was very good value for money, even though it's smaller than my previous one. But it DOES perform - sharp, reliable and responsive - just use it as directed!

Seriously good piece of kit
The item is light and easy to manouvre and the cutter can be operated from the middle or the end. It will easily cut through a one inch branch (25mm) and with the aid of a step ladder even high up branches can be reached. The cutting head can be angled, which allows vertical growth to be easily cut. In summary this product is well worth the hefty price tag. If your trees are really tall you may require it's much longer (and more cumbersome) bigger brother.

Fiskars FSK115350 UP53
Received my Fiskars Tree Pruner Anvil today and even though the box it was in was quite badly damaged the pruner itself was ok. I bought this pruner as a replacement for my previous pruner which was exactly the same because I liked using it and more importantly because I found it easy to use (I’m a 66 year old woman). The cord broke on my previous one - I’m very pleased with it 😀

Good for a while.
This worked really well for a couple of months, then the spring stopped returning g the cutters to their full opening size.

Friskars Universal Cutter Anvil
I chose Fiskars brand because last year I bought a Fiskars SW75 saw which is excellent. I used it to prune a bay tree and quince tree, both of which had not been pruned for more than 34 years in a garden in London, SW18.I had never used a saw before and this worked brilliantly. So much so that once I no longer had any branches left to remove I wished I could find more just to go on using it.This year I needed to prune an acer of about 20 years old which had never been pruned, and a mimosa tree that was about 10 years old. The acer was a serious mass thick branches which has now been pruned chiefly with the saw, while two rather thick branches reaching very high above the fences of my garden. Because they are so large and dominating I am finding it difficult to get the courage to saw them both off. Because I do not really know the theory behind pruning an acer I need to know if cutting the leading branches will ruin the tree or not!?By this spring the mimosa had very many branches leading from the main trunk but totally out of my reach. They grew out from the trunk at about 61/2 - 7 foot. They all flowered this December 2013 - March 2014 and I had read that the flowers for this coming winter will only grow on wood grown this year, While I could reach all the branches with the anvil there remained the two largest branches were too thick). To prune these two I had to get on a ladder and use the saw.Even now I am pretty sure I need to use the anvil once more to prune off three or four short thin mimosa branches which still show the mimosa twigs that did not quite manage to make flowers, just the little twigs the flowers usually grow on.To put it all briefly the anvil and the saw are both very good and I only wish there was someone to recommend them to.RJK 27-04-2014

Easy to use
This is the second time I have bought the Fiskars Anvil Tree Pruner my first one broke after 18 months of use due to the cable braking so I am aware there is a flaw in the design. However it is light and easy to use for a petit female - it is also a lot lot cheaper than employing someone to prune trees and bushes!

Light, manoeuvrable, functional
Recommended by a gardener who puts in a few hours a week for us, these are light, manoeuvrable and cut cleanly. Expensive, but a big time saving and I feel safe up a ladder with them.
