Furniture and cat tree combined
Bit pricey but it is worth the extra money. If I had to have any complaint it would be that all levels should have full matting on them - my cats jump from couch onto the cat tree but when they land on top of the box section there is only a small pad and the rest is shiny veneered wood - few times the cats have slid straight off and at some speed!! They now have the hang of it and don't try to stop on the box, just make a double jump but could be designed slightly better. It is large enough for 1 cat in reality to sleep on any level only. Looks good compared to most cat trees I have seen and cats are happy with it. Very good amount of scratching area on this and they are good quality.

Kitty fun!
we have just acquired three(!) kittens and while they will ultimately be outdoor cats, they need something for them to play and climb on that is not our furniture in the meantime. This is great, it is robust and yet still stylish. so many cat toys, scratch posts are pretty cheap looking and really not that robust and with three of the little darlings, we needed something that is going to withstand a lot of action and this looks like it will fit the bill.It was easy to assemble, even if the instructions are a bit lacking in detail. However, our only slight quibble is that after only a week the little balls have come off the string, but with three kittens that does not seem too unreasonable and I think I can repair them.......................

Thank you for the beautiful item. Easy to assemble
Thank you for the beautiful item. Easy to assemble, arrived in perfect condition. We actually secured the top part to the box as our cat was too scared of the height. Would say you need space for it as quite large and heavy item. Only concern is the box top is quite slippery so you really need an agile cat; although the round bit provides safety. OK for bigger cats; we have a Persian. Scratching post are of very good quality, unlike the normal ones you get. Have hand washed the pads already and all good. There was a vinegar like smell at the start from the scratching posts but nothing to worry about, it disappeared after few days. Recommend item; might be a bit expensive but worth it as a) stylish and b) heavy/ good quality.

Really good - one small irksome problem.
I'll start by saying that this is an excellent well made product with only one small problem. It looks good and is mostly wipe clean. It was, on the whole, simple to put together and the cat loves it.The only problem is such a small one but irritates because it's such a good product. The small bracket which the rattan balls hang from need two small screws to hold them in and these predrilled holes do not line up with the bracket holes. Also given the position of where it hangs, it deters my cat from using the long scratch post so I have looped them out of the way and will probably remove the bracket because it gets in the way.If you buy this, don't fit the bracket. But it is a good looking product and the cat likes it.

Beautiful but cat doesn’t use it for scratching
It is the most good looking cat tree i have ever owned. My cat is slow to warm up to it, she still won’t scratch it (she prefers her old tree for scratching) but hangs out in the cube or ok the top shelves every now and then.Update: after over 6 months, the cat tree is adopted. The top shelf in particular is a well liked spot - funnily enough she goes up there when she wants a brush session! My cat still prefers to scratch her old tree and I haven’t made efforts to switch her interest to this one, but it looks the material is not as “scratch attractive” to my cat.Update after 2 years: the toy balls fell apart after 1 year, even though she rarely plays with them. She still likes every now and then to go on top when she wants something, but she has never used it for scratching. Her old tree is now falling apart from over-scratching, and since she won’t touch this one I have to get her a new one.All in all it’s beautifully-made piece of cat furniture, but it’s never been good for its intended purpose: scratching.Update: I added a hammock to the tree and it’s been the perfect addition. My cat loves it. She still hasn’t scratched that tree since I got it (it’s been years), but it’s she’s been hanging out on top, in the little house and in the hammock depending on her mood.

Worth the money
Looks great. Cat took to it after a couple of days & is now sleeping comfortably at the top. She’s an average sized adult cat and there’s still plenty of room left on the base. As with most of these things, the instructions could be better. There’s one screw for the back rod that doesn’t seem big enough but it’s sturdy enough when fully made. It’s sitting next to the old model we had and there’s no comparison! Excellent quality. Would recommend.

Mould Covered Sisal Posts
Really horrified to discover that the sisal posts on this cat tree have become covered in mould. Only the bottom four posts have any mould and the rest of the structure looks fine except one corner of the baseboard where the mould has grown down from a post. Nothing else in the room has any mould and it's been sat in a bright sunny spot beside the radiator, so I'm guessing the bottom four posts (which are the only ones that are the same size) were exposed to mould at some point in the manufacturing process and that's why it's such an isolated problem. Regardless, I'm going to have to toss the whole thing which is both incredibly wasteful and very frustrating as it cost £90 and I've had it less than a year. My cat has recently been sneezing up a storm and it's terrifying to think she's been exposed to mould spores multiple times a day when she uses her cat tree. The tree itself is beautiful, but I would definitely steer clear.
