Bosch Wiper Blade Twin 539, Length: 650mm/550mm – Set of Front Wiper Blades

BMW E39 258iSE November 1996: The OEM wiper blades are identified as L & R with identical fitting to the arms. The Bosch twin 539 blades have a shorter narrowed section on the righthand blade which requires some force to set it into the arm for the pin to be locked but once assembled works well.I suspect BMW changed the design to ensure correct RH & LH fitting after 1996.No big deal on the fitting issue and the blades are quiet, smooth and wipe well.

As you’d expect from Bosch well made blades simple to fit to the proprietary BMW e39 arms and last a fare while. Recommended

I always use Bosch wipers they seem to last year's and never screech or chatter unless they are absolutely worn out.Just replaced the cheap wipers that were on my new car with Bosch wipers and what a difference. Smooth and quiet.
