K&N Engine Air Filter: Increase Power & Towing, Washable, Premium, Replacement Air Filter: Compatible with 1992-2007 TOYOTA (Land Cruiser, Land Cruiser Prado, Hilux), E-2444

I bought this filter for my Toyota Land Cruiser expecting great things. I didn't even make it 3000 miles before my truck wasn't running right. It took me a long time to even think about checking the air filter because this thing claims to only need cleaned every 20000 miles or so. When I pulled this filter out, it was completely caked with dirt.A factory paper filter will allow the dust to fall off of it. The filter box is designed for the air to swirl around and for most of the dust to drop to the bottom before getting caught in the filter. This filter is OILED and sticky so MOST of the dirt collects on it and makes a gooey mess. Not only that, but I also noticed dirt in my air intake AFTER the filter. More research about this product reveals that it is the worst filter on the market for stopping dirt. I obviously made a very poor purchase. I wish I would have done my homework better before buying it.

I consider the filter diameter to be too small.The superficial area is considerably less than the original one.Thus, making it to get clogged much too soon.I wish they made it the same size as the original oneAnd send one to me !!!

Noticeable difference in performance as compared to the paper filter. Not surprising as the diameter is smaller and height is shorter. I put it in and my Hilux Surf 3.0 Turbodiesel did not like it. Replaced it with aftermarket paper and found out where my power was goin.
