Toddler loves
Love how you can change the size of the game biard depending on time and age. I wish it had more of a plastic box for storage rather than cardboard. It almost tears everytime they try to open it.

Easy, Fun and Imaginative
I was very excited when this Magna-Tiles Treasure Hunt game popped up. My kids love Magna-Tiles and we have probably a dozen different sets that get played with daily. The game is very easy to set up, and it includes instructions for 2 different games plus ideas for how to set up and create your own games. I recommend setting up for the first game first as the stickers are required to be on a certain color of the tile, whereas in the second game it doesn't matter. On that note though, the "stickers" are actually more like window clings, so you can reposition them later to other tiles if need be. It did include a few extras for when you create your own games.I really like the nice oversized die that is included, this is great for little hands and fingers still mastering dexterity. The kids also loved the cute little jungle explorer character pieces. The con I really have with the game is the shipping time. It was exceedingly slow, ordered on Nov. 12th and didn't receive until the 25th. So if you're ordering for a birthday or holiday gift, give yourself lots of time beforehand to make sure it arrives on time.Overall, the quality is what I would expect from the Magna-Tile brand, and the family is excited to have another kid friendly game to play that they can also use their existing tiles with.

Pretty basic, good for a preschooler. You can design your own board.
This game is so simple that you really don’t even need to buy it to play the game.1. Contents. It includes 10 magna-tiles, dice (just one), 10 plastic coins, 4 people, and 10 stickers. To make the game interesting, you really need to add more magna-tiles, otherwise the game will be over quite quickly. You place the stickers on the tiles, one per tile.2. Rules. There are several different variations, but the basic rules are: (1) collect 3 coins to win and/or first to get to a second island to win; (2) get a coin by landing on a treasure chest; (3) lose a coin by landing on a monkey; (4) go backwards by landing on a crocodile; (5) move someone else by landing on a volcano, (6) start/finish is the island (palm trees); (7) use the dice to determine how many spaces to move forward. The instructions give several variations of the game that incorporate some or all of the above rules and/or tiles.3. Design your own board. One nice thing is that you can set up the board however you like it. You can make it more or less difficult, for example, you can include multiple pathways or you can put the crocodile after the money to set up two tiles in a row where you’d lose a coin. For more players you could basically use anything, even a monopoly piece, but you should make the board bigger.4. Need more magna-tiles. It seems to be expected that if you buy this game you already have or will need to get additional magna-tiles to use to expand the board to play the variations. In summary, the game goes pretty quickly, and is very easy an ideal for the attention span of a preschooler. This game is probably too basic for older children. It’s fun, but there’s nothing really unique or special about it that makes you think “wow, this is great.” The pricing seems a bit on the higher end considering you just get 10 tiles, some stickers, and several props.

Good base game, but definitely need to add another set.
We enjoyed this as a family. The stickers are window clings (plastic material that can be repositioned). The game board pieces magnetically stick together. My kids enjoy making new shapes with them. There are instructions to 3 games included, however their are only enough pieces to actually play the first game. Now, the kids are asking for more pieces so that they can play the other games. This game has a lot of variety to it, if you purchase additional pieces.I feel this actual game set would be really good for kids up to age 6. The rules are really basic, and the kids have to count as they move their pieces around the board. You could talk about colors, but their are not that many of them.

Great introduction to board games
Pretty great set of magnetic tiles allowing you to build your own board game in any fashion. This is a fantastic and imaginative way to introduce board games to young minds. The game is really easy to set up, you can use your own imagination (or have your young one help) or rely on the manual as it comes with two different game ideas in additional to a primer on how to create your very own games. The set also comes with these vinyl stickies marking some of the tiles depending on the game you want to play.Overall a pretty wonderful "build-it-yourself" board game. If you have additional Magna-Tiles, you can further expand the board and make it even bigger. Possibilities are endless. You can use your own toys and figurines to make up even more games.

Fun, Easy Game, Lots of Variation (if you have more tiles)
We easily have $1,000 in MagnaTiles. My kid plays with them regularly and has for the last four years. I expect to get another four years of play out of them as well. This Ravensburger Magna-Tiles Treasure Hunt game is a great add-on if you already own MagnaTiles. However, as a standalone game, it is underwhelming to kids 5+.We added this game to an extra 30+ tiles and made short-cuts, bridges, etc. The extra level of game play really made this much more fun and interesting. We would really like extra stickers, but are making do with the included ten.

Fun in the beginning
It was a lot of fun "treasure hunting" in the beginning. I ended up combining it with more tiles to have more of a hunt. I use them in my kindergarten class. They hunt for the letters and tell me the sounds or they hunt for sight words and read them, They get to turn the "gold" in for a treat.
