Our old mixer had been making noises for a while and after finally YouTube-ing fixes I decided to try and take it apart and regrease it. I also called KitchenAid for a price quote on sending it back to them for repair and it was a lot for me. So I wanted to at least try regreasing it myself and save some money if possible. The grease and parts were fine. I will say that there was *just* enough grease, would have liked a bit more. Machine works way better after the regrease so I encourage you to try it! Good luck!

I had to replace a gear on my mixer, chunks of depris were concealed in the dark grease. Always replace the grease

This Food Grade Grease was purchased for my KitchenAid Stand Mixer and performed admirably. The grease dampened some of the squeaks while keeping my mixer operating smoothly. It's good to know that there is a food-grade choice. I wish it came with more extensive instructions for first-time users and it's only 4 oz rather than 40 oz. Aside from that, it's a good product.
