Q: How long is the plug and play harness that goes from the switch panel to the relay box?

I would have to measure it to tell you exactly, but it's at least 5 or 6 feet long. I have the relay box mounted under the hood of my Dodge Ram 1500, and the switch panel is mounted to the center console below the cup holders just in front of the 4x4 floor shifter ( I have a 2002 with a manual shift transfer case), with plenty of extra cable rolled up behind the bottom panel the switch box is mounted to.

Q: I installed mine, but the switch keeps looping from bright to dim, how do you control it the dimmer function?

There is no control for the dimmer on the back light it has a photo sensor somewhere that auto adjusts depending on ambient light it picks up. Mine has worked well on auto adjusting but it hasn't done any crazy things. If it's going nuts it might be defective.
