Scotch Extreme Fasteners, 1" x 10', Clear (RF6760) 2 Roll/Pack

I worry a lot about the curtains in my toddlers bedroom so I wanted to Velcro down my curtains and this has been holding up quite well despite not having enough to fully complete the project the way I had planned. I have your standard blackout curtains and the adhesive has been sticking quite well to them as well as my wall, my toddler has dragged and rocked his pack and play against the curtain so many times and the adhesive hasn’t failed, it also has not come apart. I have average sized windows and this is not enough to completely go around my windows but it is more than enough to replace my curtain rods. If you’re wanting to fully cover your windows in black out curtains I 100% recommend this product, just buy more of these or just a longer roll definitely measure 3 times before purchase. This Velcro is exactly like the command hook Velcro and it’s my absolute favorite it should never fail the way regular hook and loop does over time. This is definitely a versatile product, I don’t think I’ve ever heard of someone using it the way I have and it’s holding up incredibly well after two weeks of being up.

I built some solar screens for my windows on my house in Texas. I wanted to make it so that I could take them down easy to clean the windows and put them back up. i have vinyl windows so I can't use screws or nails to fasten them. I tried many other brands of Velcro and automotive grade double sided tape. during the high heat western sun (can be Easily over 100 degrees) the sticky backing failed and the solar screens fell off the windows. Except for this stuff! It held up to the brutal temperature's all summer long. This stuff can take the heat. Strong durable hold. Great stuff!

I needed a way to keep the overlapping edges of the front tarp on my cat shelter from billowing out and letting leaves, rain, snow, and cold air in. The 3m/Scotch Extreme Fastener is just the thing! It was easy to apply, though I had to really make sure it adhered, because the surface behind the tarp is uneven. It works very well! No more billowing, and I can still take it apart when necessary. The Fastener comes in two separated 10' long strips, that, together, make a 10' closure. (one strip on the back tarp, one strip on the front tarp). Each strip has an adhesive backing, covered by a protective peel-off film. I put the two sections together,closing the gripper sides to each other, and then applied them - first to the overlap edge, and then to the anchored tarp it covers. That way, I was able to minimize the wrinkling of the tarps, and ensure good adhesion to each section.First pic shows the loose overlap. Second shows actual fasteners, attached to both tarp sections, and third shows the well sealed tarps. The cats and I are all happy!

The strength is great, and it is very sticky. Once it is set, it holds well, and is not easy to remove. Perfect for gigging and touring pedalboards. Easy to apply and you can rest easy knowing everything will stay in place!

My first experience with these fasteners was back in 2007 when I got my first E-Zpass. I still have the car and have changed that windshield twice now. I however, have not had to change that 13 year old fastener yet! It is still sticky, changed over to new windshield both times just fine. I live in NE where weather goes from 100+ to minus in the winter, but, this tape has held its ground every time! I want to thank EZpass to introducing me to this awesome product! Since then, I have used this product on various settings, indoors and out, in professional and personal setting and have not found a better product to replace this with yet. Amazon knows I have tried! It is a bit pricey given the projects I have used it in as of late where I need 50 feet of this, however, after wasting money on other products that look good on paper, feel good in practice but ultimately fail and I am back to using this 3M product. I do like clear a bit better than black as most often, black really stands out, unless you are dealing with darker tone surfaces.

There were only a couple items this didn’t work for. The idea came from a friend of mine because I have a lot of concrete walls in my new space. I have murky old larger paintings and other deco hanging on the wall. If it falls off but the Velcro is still on the wall and the item, just add another stripe.The main thing it didn’t work on was a canvas that I made myself. The material is too soft. So I used some other super secure double-sided tape, still using this, and that is now hung and staying in place too!

Use these stuff on anything and everything

So, I've used this in direct sunlight in a car to hold a phone mount and the 100+ days here in the south have not caused it to release. It has become my go to for all things when I might need to reposition it. It sticks to everything. I've not found anything, yet, that it fails to stick to. The backing film is easy to get off and that is a huge plus. Easily cut by scissors.I'd suggest making sure of where you place it. It can be removed but not without some effort.
