Q: Does anyone use this sheath with the ka-bar mark 1 (leather handle) and if so, how's the fit? thanks in advance for your help!

Just ordered it (missed this question) and had to return because it doesn't fit my Mark 1. Since that's a 5.25" blade, and there IS a kydex sheath available (as replacement for the one that comes with the modernized rubber-handled Mark 1), the seller really ought to clarify. I ordered a KA2221S from Knife Center, which has a review clarifying that it will indeed work with Mark 1. So here's hoping that's right.

No, it won't. I am using it with a short Ka-Bar . Blade is 5 1/4 inches long. I placed the blade against the outside of the sheath and I can't see you having another 1/4 inch to play with. Hope this helps?

Q: Is this sheath molle compatible?

Does not have its own mollie straps but I adapted it to my mollie belt by making some straps and using the sheath sideways.

Q: Can the top strap be drilled out easily? I don't really need that top strap. The sheath hold and lower strap will do just fine. Thanks!

Yep. It's a cheap rivet. I had to file the little wedges off above the sheath to get my buck 119 to fit too. Using mine for vertical strap mounting.
