Q: Why does it not tell us hom many mg's each pill has? Is it 333mg capsules? Or tablets? Thanks

There are 333mg capsules. I take one or two capsules, never 3. I don't take them everyday, only when I know I am going to be eating a heavy meal or when I feel a gall bladder attach is starting.

Q: Why does this have vanilla flavor? It says they are capsules. You're not suppose to chew them up, are you?

No, do not chew them. In fact, my advice which I read somewhere else on here, is to eat a little food then take the capsule and eat the rest. I took one after a meal because I forgot and I had the worst heartburn, if I forget now I just skip.

Q: How does this compare to Ox bile?

Ox bile is definitely inferior to Bile Acid Factors. I've had my gallbladder removed, and I've tried ox bile, high-dose lipase, digestive enzymes, and everything else I can think of. Bile Acid Factors was the only thing that provided significant relief. I recommend it to everyone I know with gallbladder/no gallbladder issues.

They aren’t the same. Bile acids have to be conjugated with glycine and taurine in order to make bile salts, which emulsify fats much better than bile acid. This product I feel is misleading because it says that it’s made of highly concentrated bile acids made “mostly of conjugated bile salts”. Well, it’s either one or the other. Which is it?
