This is a very expensive predictive analytics based encyclopedia. It gives a broad overview of what's involved in predictive analytics, it doesn't explain how to perform anything discussed. I expected some examples and a deeper explanation to reference back to.If your interested in knowing what's generally involved in predictive analytics, take the table of contents and Google each point because this book practically only gives definitions and what it may be used for and at the very high price of $80.If this book showed a step by step of building regression models, performing cluster analysis in different programs, and real life ways to explain findings and put visualizations to them, then it may be worth the price.I returned and got a refund for this book.

Have always found Eric’s work to be an immense value add to the demand planning community. His vision very will guides the demand planning professionals of the skill-set needs for the future and have largely benefited by preaching his work. The book is an epitome of Eric’s vision which builds upon the proven principles and practices in demand planning and introduces us to a new breed of talent, updated process and modeling, and what to look for in advanced technologies. He make it very easy to understand and clearly conceptualizes people, process and technology needs of the future. Being in the industry for 5 years, I do foresee a change coming through in Demand Planning and Predictive Analytics, and this book will serve as a blueprint for those needs. Highly recommend this book !!

I expected better content for the price of the book

Being new to this field I found this the perfect book to get me started. Being honest I didn't know much about machine learning and predictive analytics before this outside of buzz words. Offering a complete overview of the latest demand planning, business forecasting, and predictive analytics concepts and applications it gave me everything I needed to understand what I needed to know. The best part Eric made these concepts easy to follow and actually enjoyable to read. I highly recommend for anyone getting started or that has been in the field for years, this is sure to give you the competitive edge you need for what is coming
