Q: Shipped without refrigeration- why?

I’m not sure. Will say I think most of the, “keep refrigerated,” supplements likely are not stored that way in the warehouses. That said, I make cheese and that requires the microbes and starters be kept refrigerated. They ship mostly USPS and there’s no refrigeration there. I just put them in cold storage when I get them. I’ve never had a bad batch of the basic starters. Bacteria are hearty little buggers, so you’ll probably be fine if you toss it in the fridge as soon as it arrives. Hope that helps.

Q: Why was mine shipped without cold/ice protection? It is not good when arrived? Have to throw out/return now?

Apparently it doesn’t need refrigeration. I thought it did but manufacturer said no. I still refrigerate once opened.
