Cozy as a Campfire Hug!
This could be a simple review... It does what it says it does and it is what it says it is... but I think this blanket might secretly be part superhero—capable of saving you from freezing temperatures, scratchy stadium seats, and the dreaded Netflix-chill. I mean, 4.5 pounds (and far thinner than I expected) of wooly goodness plus a dash of synthetic wizardry? Talk about a dream team. It’s like being wrapped in a sheep’s warm embrace (minus the baa-ing)!The size is perfect for a one-person burrito wrap or a two-person cuddle-fest, whether you’re braving the wilderness or just braving the couch. Bonus points for the stylish contrast stitching—so you can pretend you’re in a luxury lodge instead of a tent that’s seen better days. After a few washes, it seems to get softer and friendlier, like the blanket itself is saying, “You’re welcome for the warmth, buddy.”If you need a thick, comfy, machine-washable hero in your life (and who doesn’t?), do yourself a favor and pick up this Arcturus wool blanket. Your future self, toasty toes, and snuggly companions will thank you! I have used this outside in the freezing cold, as a spring time picnic blanket, and around the house. So many applications, you won't be disappointed. I am buying another to keep in my truck.

Shipped fast, great quality and price, will have to wash and review at some point, but happy so far!
Nice and heavy, warm, and buffalo plaid is not too bold on this throw, using on our couch to warm our legs, as we keep the cottage at a cool level. Perfect so far! The throw is throwing off some fiber on our white cushions, but manageable so far with an OXO Furlifter brush. I suppose once we've washed the throw once or twice, it will be no problem Very warm throw, and beautiful! Goes well with our Chinoiserie décor direction. Hasn't passed the wash test yet, but so far love at 1st sight. :)

The wool blanket that meets my expectations finally!
On opening I noticed it had some weight to it overall. But it is not heavy on you so saying it is not a super thin flimsy thing. Color is strong and spot on. Wool is so good both at home and camp. wrap this around you in a light rain and sit out by the fire and you'll never feel cold. No polyester fleece blanket compares. Cant speak to durability but it seems well made enough--bigger and thicker than the old army surplus green blankets. Looks great draped over the couch too, Cant speak to durability because I just got it but I rarely do a review but, on first impressions I am pleased I got it ---when so many others disappoint when they show up

Nice blanket, terrible smell
This blanket feels super high quality and is seriously warm. I've been sleeping with just this blanket in my very cold bedroom during winter temps. Fits a queen mattress reasonable well - you can't tuck in the sides but it will cover 75% of the bed. However, the chemical smell is even worse than I feared. I've had it unwrapped for a week now and the smell is still strong enough that I can smell it on my dog 8 hours after we got out of bed. Had to take off my bed to hang up, and it's still not clear of smell after 3 days of hanging. Pretty gross. Would be a 5 star product without this issue.

A nice, affordable wool blanket.
I gave this to a friend of mine and he loved it instantly! It is heavy and will keep you very warm, but without the sweat inducing quality of cheap "fleece" blankets. I already owned one so it was an easy gift to buy as I knew it was going to be great!

Hunters - this is an awesome blanket!
We had another, very expensive, brand of wool blanket that could only be drycleaned after a hunting trip, and to the tune of $40 each time. I bought this so I could wash it and save a little money on my drycleaning bill and help the environment. My husband used it a week ago in some really cold and snowy temps over his heavy bag. He said it kept the warm in and he was super toasty. I didn’t wash it until he got home, and was amazed at how well it washed up. I put it in the front load on tap cold, per the directions, with Swash detergent (a great Whirlpool product), and added a little bit of fabric softener in a second rinse cycle, and it came out beautiful. I line dried it for most of the day, then put it in the dryer on air for ten minutes to fluff it up and remove any extra lint that was hanging on it, and yes, there was a wad in the lint trap. The blanket came out beautiful, very soft, and the slight smell it had when it arrived was gone. The blanket hardly shrank but we would have been ok if it did as it so large for a single cot. I let it dry completely for another day in the house just to make sure it wouldn’t mold in storage. This was a great buy and I plan on buying another for our truck in case of winter emergencies. Thanks so much for giving us a great product!
