Flat. Low Friction. Machinable. Works well!
I bought this to make zero-clearance inserts for my table saw. I found that it machined well with no chip-out. I cut it with a table saw and router and drilled it with both regular and Forstner bits. I did not have any plastic melting onto my blades or bits. Would buy again. In fact I *did* buy again to make an angled zero-clearance insert for my table saw. The leftover bits work great on a variety of jigs where you want a low-friction surface.

It’s phenolic. Good stuff.
Not much to say about it. It’s phenolic. Durable stuff for throat plates/ zero clearance inserts. I just wish they’d offer color options and not “random” colors. I got “black” according to the manufacturers label but it’s an unusual dark bluish green color. Even in terrible light it’s obviously not black. Would’ve preferred orange or red but regardless, it beats the terrible throat plates that come with every cabinet saw. This will do three inserts for my 2007 Grizzly G1023 or similar saws like JET from the same era. It would also be nice if they offered these a few inches bigger so they could be used in all table saws or miter saws. This sheet is the same price as 1 throat plate they sell for the saws. So even with my slight complaint about the color, it’s worth it.

This Phenolic Plank Makes a Bang Up Coping Sled for Router Tables
As another reviewer clarified, the BK-1 is 1/2 inch thick. I bought the plank to make a coping sled. I am a novice router, but I had read reviews of the shortcomings of Rockler's 1/4 inch thick sled made of the same plastic (phenolic) or the expensive alternatives. At 1/2 this sled is as sturdy going through the router as I could imagine. With my plunge router, I cut slots in the plank for two aluminum holding bars and plunged out a 1/4" mortise for my Kreg bench clamp. The clamp is very powerful, yet the 1/4 thick slab remaining beneath the clamp plate allowed me to tighten the clamp without any wear and tear on the plank. The plank is long enough (just short of 16 inches) to cross cut a 2x6, not just 1x2s or 1x4s, so I can create the rails for large raised panels for a whole wall system. I have made sixteen cross cuts thus far without a hint of tear out. (By repurposing the Kreg Clamp that I use with my pocket jig, I was able to make a more versatile sled for $32. That's half the price of the inexpensive Rockler 1/4 sled and the 3/8 inch sled by Infinity, not to mention a quarter of the price of the comparable American Eagle or the 1/2 thick Woodhaven sled.) Even if you need to buy clamps, you'll save. By the way, I drilled in and counter sank two Shop Fox push pads for handles--which is possible because of the 11 1/2 with. My hands are four inches farther away from the router bit than they would be on most other sleds. The longer, wider, thicker sled that the Lee Phenolic Sheet allowed me to create should last for years.

Made a zero clearance throat plate for my table saw
Bought this to make a new throat plate for my table saw. The zero clearance throat plate from the manufacturer is $60 and currently out of stock. I was able to make a very nice alternative with this Phenolic Sheet. It came in the advertised dimensions and was a true rectangle. The sheet I bough has material to make two plates for my saw.The pictures show the original standard throat plate in red, a dado throat plate I made of MDF and the plate I made out of Phenolic. In comparison, the Phenolic plate is similar to the original (red) plate made of Aluminum, and far stiffer than the MDF one. In fact, I had to tap it to install the four height adjustment set screws in each corner.Accounting for the fact that I used less than half the sheet, the new plate cost me under $20 and about 4-hours of labor. I like highly recommend it.For those interested, this is For a Laguna F1 table saw, and I can post more details if needed.

Not the quality you'd expect from Leecraft
I've purchased about 8 precut Leecraft inserts in the past and they have all been top quality, but this blank material dissapointed me - not for function but on aesthetics.First, it was not shipped with any protection between the two plates I purchased which may have had something to do with #2 -- Second, both sides of these phenolic plates were visibily scratched up (not deep just very sloppy looking) -- and Third, the color was awful (will not affect function). The monkey puke green color will not affect function. The scratches are probably no big deal either. Waxed up, they work fine. It just bugs me that I was expecting a clean looking material that would match what they sell in precut inserts. The material should work fine for use intended as table saw insert.I should note that I also purchased some of the phenolic blanks from Rockler.com. Although it is more expensive (2 inserts yeild vs. 3), the Rockler material packaging is better (no scratching) and the color is a nice blue. Not sure if the packaging is a problem with Amazon or Leecraft.I'll use them, becasue the 11x15 allows me to get 3 inserts for the price of 1 precut one. So it's a very good value. Not sure if I'll buy another lot of these or just look for cut-off material on eBay next time. The material is easily workable and very stable.

Great
So, they aren't kidding when they say "color may vary"! This is the color that I got today. Sort of looks like a bamboo countertop. Other than the color the product is as advertised.
