Jones JR201AMS Artist Bassoon Reed; Medium Soft

These bassoon reeds are a good quality and great for beginner to intermediate players. We have ordered several times.

Reed are very good. My daughter is playing Bassoon for 2 years. We ordered medium and medium-soft. She took them out and played them right out of the box without any adjustments needed. The sound is good and balanced.

These reeds are always solid and need very little customization. I don’t play often enough to make my own so it’s great to have a reliable brand. I purchase this type for the purple thread but I have always been happy with any style of Jones reeds that I have purchased.

The reeds are a descent price. The reeds are a little too long and the two we received were very thick and a little difficult to get good tones out of when my son was trying to play with them. A friend helped to sand them down to be thinner and it works much better now.

I've been using Jones Artist reeds for about 5 years now, and I love them so much. They're easy to break in, and very manageable with tools and whatnot. I love their sound and durability, they last longer than some of my other reeds from other brands. Also less likely to have faulty reeds come in with these.

These worked for me right away! Just right!

My daughter received this for her bassoon. She has had no problems with cracking. This is a great quality reed. It provides good quality sound and is sturdy.
