This little toaster runs fine on 100VAC. If you can supply the correct voltage it's a charming little toaster. But as others have noted it does not work for long on standard USA / Canada 120 volts AC. The manufacturer would have the single slice cute toaster market here sewn up if they made a model of this for 120 volts AC. They do not. So don't buy this if you can't supply the correct voltage. Give it 100 volts AC and you're good to go.We use our Plus Minus Zero single slice toaster several times a day. Once set for the desired darkness it is very consistent and does not burn toast.UPDATE: Still going strong after 4 years on 100 volts AC here in the USA.

If I could give a negative review I would. No where in the description does it say anything about he was only in Japan until you receive the item there is one sentence in English “This product is designed for use in Japan and cannot be used in any other country. No servicing is available outside of Japan.”The wattage is incorrect for US use (also not stated in the description on the site) without adjusting which is ridiculous since it is an $80 toaster in the first place.

My father wanted a one slice toaster... He loved it... Only thing was it took a while to ship. But that's not a big deal. It was Exactly what he was looking for

I absolutely loved the look, size, and performance of this toaster. I live in a small home and like my stuff to look a certain way and this was perfect. But! After four uses one morning it didn’t work. It just stopped working. So sad. I then read the reviews and I wasn’t the only one this happened to.

You were probably searching for this exact toaster model. This brand is hard to find outside of Japan.It's very expensive for a single-slot toaster. But true to the brand and the designer, the materials are quality (powdercoated steel) and it looks and functions quite well.Specific points:- It's probably a little larger than what you are thinking. I'd double check the dimensions, and the space that you envision it living in.- minus one point because it runs VERY hot. The dial goes up to 6; I've never used it beyond 2. Beyond 2 is simply too much toasting for bagels and bread. Someday I may smelt some iron with this toaster on the highest setting.- minus another point because of the price. Not sure I can justify it in my head - I suppose we are paying a premium for Amazon convenience. If you look a little harder, you can find this toaster for cheaper on eBay, sometimes for quite a bit cheaper.

It's exactly what I want! One slice or muffin half is all I use and it fits so well in a corner of my counter. I'm very pleased!

There is six heat settings on the dial but setting two will set off your smoke alarm. Setting 1 doesnt even heat the toast. The first slice you put in will burn even if on setting 1, i think because of its size and because its cold. Its a great size but you better off throwing a slice on a pan. This thing is completely useless. Dont waste your time or money.
