Q: How big are the balls? Are they standard softball size or smaller?

the balls are baseball size but we find them very useful for softball batting practice. the thinking being that if you can hit these a softball should be an easier target. you really can tell if you have made good contact or not with these things. i recommend them

Q: How much Do they weigh?

I don't know officially, but my answer is "almost nothing" Shipping weight is 10.4 ounces, so that's less than an ounce per ball.They can hit you in the face from about 15 feet...you feel nothing.

Q: Are these heavy enought to pitch and throw far?

You can accurately throw them 40+ feet. Great for warm ups especially if it's breeze out
