The Very Best of Ozzy Osbourne (Guitar Signature Licks) Paperback – Audiobook, 1 Nov. 2002

I've been a great 'fan' of Troy Stetina for years since studying his Trash Guitar Method which is a great book that has taught me a lot. A great thing about Troy Stetina is that he can actually play and he has included a CD to prove it. I've only been studying this book for a week now and have been working on some of my favorite songs. I think that the scores are more precise than other scores I've seen. The printing quality of the scores is not very good. It's possible to read them but I actually need a lamp close to the book to be able to read them!

Troy is a very capable guitar teacher and author, with his book reflecting this. Some of the analysis of Randy, Jake and Zakk's playing is top-notch and really helped me understand how to write decent songs. Similarly, the sheet music and tablature (for the book has both) are well set out and almost entirely accurate. However, Troy has made a few small mistakes transcribing some songs, for example the ending of No More Tears' guitar solo is not quite correct, which is irritating. That said, if you are able to play these songs you will most likely be able to spot any little mistakes like that and work around them, especially with Troy's helpful analysis.This is a very good book for the guitar playing Ozzy fan and if I lost my copy I'd be sure to buy it again.
