Otis Technology Panoply Gun Cleaning Patches (3" Round ,75ct)

I've been using these patches for quite some time on my handguns, and they do the trick quite well. They work with a wide range of calibers. They're easy to use with the Otis cleaning system. Just insert the brass slotted tip through one of the patch's slots, pinch the patch upward on the edge (the further from the slotted tip, the bigger the swab), fish through the slotted tip, and pull up. This forms a bulb shape creating a 360 degree cleaning surface. They do leave a few fiber strands behind but it's not a deal breaker. They're still quite tough. I've never been a fan of cleaning my firearms' barrels using rods. I feel they can do more harm than good such as damaging the rifling inside your barrel. I highly recommend using these patches and the Otis firearms cleaning kit.

These patches do a great job of cleaning bores. They are expensive when compared to traditional square patches, but when cleaning a bore the fit is much tighter than a square patch, resulting in fewer patches and passes needed to get it clean. I still keep square patches on hand for cleaning everything but the bore, and use square patches for the first couple of passes through the bore. I find this process gets the cleaner into the bore, and gets the loose crud out without using an expensive patch. The final passes with the round Otis patch gets everything nice and clean. A word of caution - tie your first patches small, a patch made too large can be very difficult to pull through the bore. After a couple of tries, you will learn how to make them so they work very well.

Fold according to instructions. There are some very good videos on this, vary the "pinch point" where the patch doubles back into the eyelet for a large range of calibers. Pressed for space or time? Just grab your OTIS pack.

To thick won’t fit on my Otis patch cleaning head and it did not say they were thick patches was looking for the normal 3 inch Otis patches

finally used the patches and it's a no go for a .308 rifle Cannot pull through rifle. Patch got stuck while using The Otis cleaning kit. Had the hammer the patch and tool out with a rod and hammer to get it out. Well at least it'll work in my 12 gauge? I hope. Wish I could exchange these for regular ones.
