Libertymens Rigid Denim Bib Overall

Measure your gut. Be honest.
I don't often write reviews, but thought this may be helpful to others, especially regarding sizing. For reference, I am about 5'7" and 180 or so pounds. I usually wear 36x30 pants across the board from suits to blue jeans. Like many of you out there, I could stand to lose some weight. The tricks to sizing are to measure yourself around the largest part of your midsection and to be honest with yourself. Despite comfortably wearing 36 pants, I came up with a 40" measurement. Therefore, I ordered a 40x30. I would advise against simply adding 4" to your regular pants size as your body is likely different from mine. When the overalls arrived they seemed too big and too long. However, they are not pre-shrunk! After a wash on hot to shrink them and bleed off excess dye, they fit perfectly.Features-wise, I particularly like the zippered pocket and the buttoned pocket. These secure my cell phone and keyless ignition car key from falling out of a pocket while I am bending, stooping, or on all fours. One bummer is a pencil pocket that is stitched closed except for a pencil-receiving button hole. The inside of this pencil pocket will be nearly impossible to clean. The denim is a good quality. It is not as thick as my favorite 501s, but plenty sturdy to block sunlight, insects, sawdust, brick flakes, etc.The legs are a bit looser than I personally would have cared for. However, the larger legs leave enough room for long underwear or thin sweatpants should you be working in cold temperatures. The yoke diverts into the two straps halfway up my shoulder blades, thus protecting a good portion of my back. The bib comes to just below my armpits, thus protecting most of my chest. You will likely not be walking in any fashion shows in these. However, you will not have your butt crack hanging in the wind while weeding or laying floor.TL;DR: Do not automatically buy your normal pants size. Measure your gut. Be honest. Select your actual gut size and your normal inseam length. Wash once on hot separately to shrink and get rid of extra dye.

What the 38w34l Looks Like on a 6'3 240 Pound Dude...
Out of the bag, they feel like quality. Nice clean stitching, and the denim is thicker than Wrangler but not L-501 thick... comfortable. They'll be getting some abuse on my land. We'll see how they hold up. Based on first impressions, my hopes are high.I'm 6'3 240 pounds. I ordered the 38w/34l and they fit me nice. I hope this helps y'all. I hate ordering clothes online.

GREAT BIB OVERALLS
As a Law Enforcement Officer I wore a uniform for over 36 years. Finally retired and wanted something different to wear. These bib overalls are great. They are very comfortable and fit well. I own several pairs and the Liberty brand are my favorite. The zipper pocket is large enough for cell phone, glasses, small handgun ( Still LEO minded and always with proper permit). At first I ordered by my waist size and after a few washes they are a little snug. I now order the next larger size and they still fit well even after a few washes. Will buy more in the future. P.S. I currently have 5 grandchildren so I deserve that Grandpa look.

Hubby loves them
The picture is after I washed them a couple times. My husband loves them, but keep in mind Liberty’s tend to shrink after washing and drying a few times so he ordered two sizes too big for him and he said they fit perfect but keep in mind my husband likes his work clothes to be Roomie and relaxed fitting so he can wear thick warm sweatshirts under the overalls. He normally wears 42 in jeans so he wanted size 46 and they fit just like he likes them. When drying them in the dryer I do not dry them all the way dry, I leave some dampness and let them finish Air drying to keep them from shrinking quickly. I highly recommend them and they were the best priced on the internet.

Nice, but order larger!
I saw this brand at Tractor Supply but they only had really BIG sizes! Apparently, TSC is the local “Big & Tall” outlet. So I ordered these here. Anyway, the quality on these overalls is decent and they seem to be wearing well.Regarding size—I am 5’10” and always wear 34x31 Wrangler cowboy cut denim jeans that I get from Shepler’s. I don’t go for the baggy, unkempt, sloppy, gangsta look and these jeans fit me properly; you know, up around the waist where they belong with a belt buckle the size of a pie plate. I’m only sharing this so you understand where I am with sizing and fit. So, allowing for variation from a different manufacturer and the ten pounds I would like to lose, I ordered the 36x30 (they don’t offer 31” length) based on what I had read. The result? The length on these is fine. Overall fit—well, they are what I would call “just right.” In other words, there is no extra room but I don’t need extra room. The bottom line—nice overalls but you should order ONE size bigger if you wear things to fit normally. If you can’t see your belt buckle when you look down or just like a loose, baggy fit, then you better order TWO sizes up. Beyond that, I can’t offer any advice there other than Jenny Craig.

wears well but do not overdry
My significant other has been wearing these for years. He orders these in his true size (he wears his jeans on his waist) and they fit great but when we order for his son we go up a size because his son wears his jeans a little lower. In other words make sure you are going off the measurement of your true waist and not necessarily based on the rise of your jeans. He especially likes this brand as they last a decent amount of time and he loves the front zippered pocket. I wash them inside out to help keep the color from fading so quickly but like most working overalls they fade more quickly in the knees. Also I was disappointed with his pair before last; I guess I over-dried them (even though I dry on low I had left them in after they were done drying so I ran them through the dryer again to get the wrinkles out and this was a mistake) and the inseam shrunk to the point they were obviously too short. So now I wash them in cold and line dry them. And that's why I give these four stars as I do that with a lot of clothes (probably says a lot about my laundry habits but that's just the way it is some days) and haven't had that problem with other clothing shrinking.

This time I got my size correct, much happier these are good quality dungarees
This was the second pair that I purchased, I paid to much attention the first time on the size guidance, given by the manufacturer and other reviews, my advice is stick to the sizes you would normally go for, so this time they fitted me better all round, and I didn’t even have to have them taken up, (by the way they do not shrink even when I tried to deliberately shrink the first pair) so all that said these dungarees are very well made, and are competitively priced, as I said in my review of the first pair, if you get the size right you should be very happy with these.
