Not for busy people
Not a book that convinced me. I felt it really could have done with a good editing. I wanted facts ideally in short sentences that I can still read after I finally have the kids in bed, tidied and got ready for the next day at work. I was hoping to get some practical tips on how to make the household run more efficiently so that I can get more work done... A several weeks program, as suggested in this book, was not for me. Somewhere it may have some hand's on tips that could come in handy, but if so, they are in my opinion buried in between so much other text, that I didn't feel it was worth my time to look for them. The book I would recommend instead is "15 Secrets Successful people know about time management." In my opinion a far better time investment for manic mums.

Great tips for organising!
I was starting to feel swamped what with a new baby and back problems. This book helped me get a grip on the piles of paper work and clutter around my home and helped motivate me to not just concentrate on household chores and baby but to do something for myself no matter how small towards a personal goal. I dont feel swamped anymore and have found this book really helpful.

It's Okay
Some of this I found to be a bit patronising - twee anecdotes and 'useful' Tip!s like 'try using speed-dial on your phone' add very little to the mix. I like the advice on list making and positive thinking though.

Great book for busy Mums
My friend bought me this book when I was promoted and returned to working full-time with 2 young sons. I didn't know how I would cope with working 5 days a week and keeping all the balls in the air. One of the good things about the book was that I felt great to find out that I'm not alone in my feelings of inadequacy as a working Mum. It contains numerous practical tips to help me cope. It is easy to read and not designed to be read from cover to cover in one sitting and can be read in chunks - which clearly helps when you are short of time! Allison doesn't take herself too seriously, the tone of the book is written tongue in cheek which for me was much more entertaining than a boring "manual" full of instructions.

A handy book, good reminder.
A good book to have, it reminds us how to utilise the skills we have already.
