not very lemony
The item seemed fresh. However, not lemony at all......not enough poppy seeds.....So, basically, just another pound cake. Whatever lemon, was part of the ingredients....it was not a natural lemon! If it was the mass produced lemon flavor extract......that would explain......the lack of true lemon....ingredients.....or not enough to counter the processed ones.

Very good!
Much to my surprise, this pound cake was very good. I didn't expect much from a cake purchased via Amazon, what with the storage & shipping time adding to possible dryness of the cake. Actually, though, it was quite good, but a bit expensive, and, along with a cup of hot coffee, satisfied my sweet tooth.
