A very classy looking light for an Ikea price. Fantastic customer serve to boot!
What it is- A beautifully designed light fixture that heavily invokes the Craftsman style but made with modern inexpensive materials. Take care putting it together and it will look far more expensive than it is. The light panels are delicate but not tissue paper. They've done a good job using a plastic backing panel overlaid with linen and then a wood-grain plastic filigree on top of that to mimic Much more expensive fixtures. Also choose your bulbs with care to match the rest of your lighting but I'd recommend using corn led bulbs (long cylinders) and go with the highest wattage you can afford. The large cubes allow for much better heat dissipation allowing for 30 watt+ led bulbs (roughly equivalent to 250- 300 watt incandescent) however this doesn't translate to blinding light. The light shades soften the direct light on the eyes while still acting like a torchiere throwing bright light directly upwards. The perfect compromise between a comfortable atmosphere and actually usable light. What it isn't- A traditionally solid wood heirloom quality light fixture that can take the sort of abuse that comes from being in a heavily used space (walkway, next to a sofa used by children/ pets, etc). That would cost you upwards of half a grand or more. A few notes- Seriously take your time screwing the verticals together. You want to get them snug but the grooves for the light shades can catch the corners as they get tighter. I recommend it's better to get the verticals tight and touch up any veneer damage with a stain pen than to stop screwing the verticals before they're tight. This is where ALL of your structural integrity comes from but I guarantee no one will be able to see the scratches once touched up. Get your spacing even and square up each vertical on the shelves and bases. This is one of those "finicky" touches that can take it from looking like 'a knock off of a knock off' to 'you spent a house payment on it' furnishing. Finally, if you're going to use the pull-chain on carpeting, add something weighty on the bottom shelf (or surreptitiously wire a weight under the bottom) to keep the light stable. They've done a good job making it level, but there's not much they can do about physics and an unstable surface. Final thought- This company is trying very hard to provide high end looking lights without the high end price tag and, frankly, knocking it out of the park. If you have a problem with the light, they are very responsive (and have my continued business as a result) but bear in mind small businesses don't have customer service departments. The owner is often the one responding to emails after spending the day on the manufacturing floor!

So Happy! Gorgeous keeper 4 sure.
This lamp is gorgeous! ASSEMBLY You might feel a tad overwhelmed when u first take all the parts out, but use your common sense to fill in the blanks that the instructions leave out. Once I realized it's meant to be built upside down and organized myself, It took less than an hour to completely construct and position this lamp. BUILD QUALITY The finished product is leagues better in terms of quality than any lamp you might see at any department store. I will say it probably looks better quality than it is, although it is pretty sturdy. LIGHT I did not expect the bottom to be a light too for some reason, but I was extremely pleased to see it was 2 lights! With the right bulbs there is a good amount of diffused light being cast from the lamp. Pair that with the reflective qualities of putting it in a corner and BLAMO you get tons of soft illuminating rays to light up your room. BULBS I personally chose Sengled color changing wifi smart bulb because I love adding different elements for mood in my living space. This way I really have endless possibilities when combining colors for the top & bottom lights. And it also adds dimming capabilities for a broad spectrum of light tones. All in all I really hit it big here with this lamp. If you are thinking about it but hesitant, don't be. Just get it. Be diligent, take time and do it right.

Nice
Looks great wish it was a bit more sturdy because I do have a toddler running around. Other than that great lamp! Very easy to assemble.

Excellent lightweight product
Really nice! Relatively easy to assemble — the directions threw me off a bit because it has you build and then flip the whole thing upside down, so I messed up the first time, but it was easy to fix. Lightweight. If you’re planning on stacking medium-heavy things on this, it’s better to buy something else. Lightweight plants are fine. You can turn out one light and leave the other on, which is a great feature if you are looking for various levels of low lighting. Very happy with this purchase.

Lovely and not nearly as difficult to assemble as people are suggesting.
I really love this lamp. It's quite pretty, particularly when both lamps are lit. Everyone whining about the issue with assembly needs to take a deep breath. While I agree that some parts of the directions aren't as clear as they could be, overall you need even a modicum of common sense, and you can figure it out pretty readily. I've read people's complaints and then discovered--when I went to assemble the lamp--that the complainers had simply put things together incorrectly. Again, common sense will get you where you need to be. Moreover, it's not nearly as wobbly as people are suggesting. This style of lamp is super commonplace nowadays, and I have two others (the type with just the lamp at the top). These are available everywhere: Walmart, Target, etc. Those ones, which are only around $30-40, are wobbly -- but this one is quite stable in comparison.

Looks nice at first glance, but the build quality is subpar.
The lamp looks nice in screenshots and decent in person but only if one doesn't look too closely. The decorative panels are made of plastic that feels and looks cheap, and the rest is cheap-feeling particleboard. The parts were not created with much precision so much of it doesn't sit very flush. The bottom lamp is a real pain to have to change since it involves tipping the entire thing onto the floor to access the hole in the bottom. Overall it doesn't feel like much care went into its design and engineering. I cannot say this was really worth $99 and the amount of effort that went into putting it together. I think my money could have been better spent on a couple of nicer-quality IKEA lamps or a combination of furniture and lamps hacked together.

Very good quality
The only thing that I found to be a little odd is the instructions to assembly. If you follow the numbers on the paper you will be building the lamp from downside to upside. Otherwise, the lamp is awesome! The design is perfect and has a very classical look.
