These lights are absolutely awesome. I purchased two packages of these lights because they are attractive and do exactly what I needed them to do. They cost under four dollars each and they use the sun to create light at night time so that your home can have some light on the exterior at night. We recently moved into a house that had absolutely nothing on the exterior besides a porch light. My thought immediately went to security. Lighting is one of the easiest ways to deter crime. I noticed I had this issue in the front of the house as well as the back of the house. The back of the house had light switches that I could turn on however that also attracted bugs and I wasn't happy with that. I really just wanted something to light up pathways so I wouldn't trip. These lights did exactly that and they do not seem to attract extra bugs.When I placed my initial order I bought two boxes of these lights so I would have 20 total. I'm reviewing not only the product but the company behind the product. I was placing all of my lights out and I noticed the interior reflector on one of the lights that I had purchased was missing. I set it aside and went ahead with the remaining 19 lights. The defective light still worked but since the reflector was missing from the inside it didn't disperse the light correctly. I sent a message to the seller and they went ahead and replace the light and sent me an extra one for my trouble. I received it in a few days. Now I like these lights so much that I am ordering another box because there are more areas that would benefit. The only thing that I have had somewhat of an issue with is the pointy tip tends to break off but I think this is more due to my husband and son not taking care when they are doing things like digging out bushes and such. I dealt with this issue by simply using the post to push into the ground.

Ordered 2 10paks. in April and set them out in mid May,they looked good and worked well. End of May and through June we got a lot of rain (4.5 in. is a lot for N.E.Wyoming),starting after the first rain water leaked by the solar panels (on top of lights) and filled the inner tube/chamber where the LED is housed with water. Don't think there is any need to say that water is not good for the electrical components of the lights,12 of the 20 are now dead... Rest in peace..... * UPDATE* Less than 4hrs. after this review the seller contacted me by phone (I was not home at the time) and than by e-mail to give me a full refund and replacement lights. Can't remember when I ever had more prompt or better customer service. I am impressed and would be glad to do business with "Garden Joy" again. A solid *5 Stars* for customer services.... Update.... 7/20/15..... After my initial review and problems with these lights Garden Joy contacted me just hours after the review and (without me requesting it) gave me a full refund,and replaced the 2 10pks. at no cost. WOW,now that's almost unheard of customer service/satisfaction... They did send me a box (pre-paid postage) and asked if I could please send back 5 of the lights so they could discover the problem and fix it. The new lights are working perfectly (have not had the same heavy rain conditions again) and look good. On the fact of customer satisfaction alone I would give them "6 stars", can honestly say that I've never seen any business try harder to keep the customer happy... I would differently buy from "Garden Joy" again......

The included batteries are not very powerful and don't provide long lasting light, even when fully charged. The batteries that were included are easily replaceable with other rechargeable batteries that do last considerably longer - for example I bought Energizer AA rechargeable batteries and use those and once they are fully charged, they seem to be lasting for at least 3 or more days before the charge is so weak that I need to remove the batteries from these lights and bring them in to charge up in the charger inside. Once they are fully charged again though, the cycle repeats for several more days.I've seen far worse on other lights that I got at a home improvement store. Those lights use different size batteries that I was able to find here at the A to Z store, but again they are weak-ish and don't last long even after being fully charged. One night and maybe a few hours the next day even if the next day was bright and sunny -- at least not in the fall and winter months when there is far less daylight time to take advantage of for charging.These assembled quickly enough, light fairly bright white (not a huge radius of light, but the light that is given off is bright white). I have them lining my driveway and they are much like runway lights for an airport. Definitely letting me know where the driveway is and/or where the edge of the driveway is and making it easier to find my driveway when it gets dark out so darned early (fall and winter). Bonus that these came in a bundle that included 10 lights per box. While I wound up buying a second set and doubling up on the numbers of lights that I had in the same area that was previously covered with the lights from the home improvement store (that didn't last too long), there were so many in the package that it offered me plenty to place everywhere that I was hoping to get lighted.4 solid stars. If the batteries lasted longer without being replaced, these would earn a higher rating from this reviewer.

These are easy to install, but you have to be really careful. I broke two or three of them, just by trying to stick the stake into the ground.I suggest you find the spot for the steak and before putting the light part on, just get the bottom part of the steak into the ground. They break very very easily. After that, attached the top part of the steak and the lamp.The stick is made of a very cheap plastic and it doesn’t seem to fit with replacement parts.Only one remains working and it doesn’t look good. The color of the light is more of a bluish office color not a softer yellow light.They are also small and look cheap. Eventually the lights stopped working. I would not buy again.The company should definitely provide two extra stakes in the box because they will break.

I bought these last year, and unlike most of the cheap small ones, these actually seem to last - both on a night-by-night basis, and long-term after over a year of use. All 10 of them worked day one, and continue to work just fine.The light output is very respectable; I don't have a lumen meter to check, but it's sufficient to clearly see the path around the lights and to illuminate the area.In terms of charge, it varies quite a bit. They definitely need a solid 6-8 hours of direct or semi-direct sun to last the whole night, but they seem to give at least 3-4 hours even with modest charging (e.g. under a tree).I paid CDN$ 49.99 for the 10-pack, which was ultimately a very good deal for the quality and performance. I ordered another 10 at $90 which I'm happy to pay (though I would prefer the $50 price again!)Pictured: some of the lights at around 11 PM after a full day of charging (June 20th, 2021). This is approximately 1.5-2 hours after they turned on. The phone camera does somewhat exaggerate the light output - to my eyes it's about 70% of what's shown - more than good enough to see though.

Really pleased with them great hight and brightness

These lights give a soft glow but are enough to light up my path. The gold colour is nice and I was so pleased with them I bought another set to put in my rose beds around my patio. They were easy to assemble and use

I ordered these lights for my garden as the copper colour is a change from the usual stainless steel/black and so glad I did ! I went for the metal rather than plastic. After a day or so one of the lights stopped working so I messaged the seller. Jenny promptly got in touch to say she would replace 2 lights free of charge! After about a week I received another message from Jenny to say she was sending another set of 8 lights instead completely free of charge! Wow! Fantastic customer service . I wouldn’t hesitate to use this company again . These lights are lovely brilliant and so easy to just pop in ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 😊😊😊😊

Perfect for my requirements, give adequate light where and when I want it on the patio. Quality of product is perfectly acceptable for the requirement, does what it says on the box!Patio is now visually enhanced and guests compliment them whilst we sit enjoying a glass or two on a warm summers evening.One light failed after a couple days, faulty sensor. Sent email, Jenny replied quickly and offered to send two replacements. Followed up within a week with an update on delivery, slight delay on restock. A very apologetic email arrived saying because of slow response they would send a new complete set F.O.C., they have arrived and work perfectly. Top marks *****I fully recommend this vendor, their service and communications are exemplary.
