Love it
Great bit of kit. As with all ebike kits you need to get a bit creative around the cables and battery placement. But it is a small price to pay for the £1k saving on a new purpose built ebike. I have previously built a rear hub and I thought that was cool, but this is another level. Great fun to ride, especially if you still enjoy cycling but cant be bothered with the utter pain of massive hills. I would say its definitely better to be put on a mountain bike, it feels more stable and because of the motor you dont lose much on tyre traction. I am thinking about getting another one, maybe getting a higher end 29er bike. With some neat cabling it would be on par if not better than the £3k ones. Junstar were good. It took about 3 weeks to arrive. For all those people who say it is difficult to install then just go on YouTube. Plus you really dont need the lights and brakes and throttle. It sounds like you do, but once you ride it you will get what I mean. All that is just more faff for wiring . Only downside is the annoyingly long cable to the battery
