Subfiles in Free-Format RPG: Rules, Examples, Techniques, and Other Cool Stuff Second Edition, Second edition

Great book! Kevin wrote it like he was a teacher teaching class. He starts with one subfile and then takes that same subfile program almost the entire way by adding code as he goes. It helps make it much easier to follow and that makes it much easier to read. I have been working in the field over 12 years and when I first learned about subfiles we did not cover much other than just the very basics. I have learned a lot on my own and RDI makes it much simpler. I learned a lot of new things I can't wait to try .

Having this book in ebook form allows me to llsten with Kindle in Text to Speech while driving or at work. I would REALLY like to have "RPG TNT" in ebook and my collection would be complete.

This book would be helpful to have but it is not worth the price if you already have the original and now a days infrequently do heavy RPG coding. I returned.

Not much to being updated from the previous book. Disappointing.

I would have liked to have seen more complex example of embedded SQL with dynamic sorting.

Author of the definitive 2000 work "Subfiles in RPG IV: Rules, Examples, Techniques, and Other Cool Stuff", this updated and expanded work is brought up to the present with free-format RPG examples and other new material. This is a must-have book for any AS/400 programmer, and is a great resource for anyone that needs to learn AS/400 subfile programming.

Disappointing because the links in the book to download the examples from website of MC Pressonline don't work ! Don't buy this book because there are only a few description of the display files sources or programs. Also the company MC Pressonline don't answer my mails to help me.
