I received a sample as part of a gift box. I tried it after a long ride and was super pleased with how easy it was to drink. Pleasant and now i can hop off bike, down this with no fuss, jump start my recovery and then shower, etc and worry about real food a bit later. It was so good i bought these right away and then put in a subscription. Definitely recommend.

Tailwind is truly the best. All sugar substitutes, natural or artificial, bother my gut. I've tried several brands for both electrolyte drinks and protein recovery drinks and none come close to the quality, gentle effects, dissoveability and taste of Tailwind.

I’ve recently taken up cycling and have been riding a 60 mile route once a week, along with a smattering of shorter rides. At first, those 60 mile rides left my body battered afterwards and I really wasn’t able to ride again for at least another day or two, as my muscles were just too sore. I decided enough was enough and did some research into recovery mixes and Tailwind caught my eye and have been using since. Now perhaps it’s a combination of increasing my endurance as well as the Tailwind Recovery mix, but I do know that after my long rides now, I’m able to ride again the next day with no lingering effects. I’m not walking like a zombie the night after my ride and am basically functional again. I love the ease of the mix. I just place two scoops in a mixing bottle, add water from a flask I bring, shake it up and done. It’s part of my post-ride ritual now and I look forward to getting to my car and just relaxing and drinking my Tailwind. The chocolate flavor is perfect, not too sweet, and definitely not chalky. I can whole heartedly recommend this product and suggest you try it out to aid in your recovery process.

This stuff taste great, the only protein powder I have used that goes great with just water. I use almond milk, but when traveling that is not always an option.

This works well. I recover and don’t really feel sore after my long runs and I’m grateful for that. HOWEVER with that being said I think I need to try a different flavor. I bought coffee. It tastes like coffee at first but the smell is the taste of the end of the sip. It’s really hard to place, like burnt soy sauce perhaps? My kids said to them it tasted like ramen flavor packets. It’s not like the worst health product I’ve tried and it does work so I mean I was just hoping it would taste great, like their other products. Besides that I really enjoy the product.

My fiancée and I are both cyclists and have tried different recovery powders (Skratch, Clif, homemade) and the Tailwind Vanilla is by far the worst tasting we've ever had. I can only describe the taste as "sweet liquid cardboard" and get zero vanilla or coconut flavors at all. This is super disappointing because we recently started using the Tailwind Endurance fuel drink mix and that has been both delicious and highly effective. Maybe another flavor is better but we'll likely go back to a brand we already know tastes good to avoid wasting another $40.

Absolutely love Tailwind products!! Their recovery product is my go to after a long run. I feel amazing the next day after my long run when I use this recovery product. Highly recommend!! I have only used the chocolate flavor. I really like the taste and does not upset my stomach. I mix it with cold water in a shaker bottle with no issues.

Ran out of Skratch's recovery drink, which is delicious, and went to order more. Then realized the price of Skratch had increased like $9, and was now $57 for 24 services. I opted to try this instead as I know it's a good brand and I use their Endurance drink during my long runs. This just doesn't take good. It doesn't taste bad but it's not good. I have Chocolate. There's on richness, it's thin, and tastes kind of like cardboard. From Skratch, I had tried Strawberries and Cream, Horchata, and Chocolate, and all were fantastic. So good after a really difficult run. This on the other hand is super underwhelming. I'd rather just drink good quality chocolate milk over this and save a ton of money. Doing the math per serving, Skratch might actually be cheaper. Per ounce, from what Amazon says, it's not, but it looks like it's around $0.40 cheaper per serving.
