I love black currant! Unfortunately, it's not easy to find these wonderful berries in the US. If you're lucky you may find a very limited quantity of currants during summer time at the farmers market. Another place to buy them is a local shop that sells European products and may has some frozen black currant. I was happy to find this powder. Of course it is not the same as the actual berries but at least it is a nice reminder of the tart and sour deliciousness that also delivers a good amount of vitamin C. I love adding it to my yogurt and smoothies. Tastes delicious! As you can see on my picture, I put some powder in the spice jar, so it's easy to sprinkle on my yogurt, instead of opening the bag every time and using a scoop. Either way, it is very absorbent of moisture and will cake if it's not sealed in an airtight container. Not a big deal though. It means that there is not much of the anticaking agent in the powder, so it's a good thing. Overall I'd highly recommend this product. Enjoy!

Love the product. It is perfect for our morning yogurt. It does get clumpy, but I prefer that over added ingredients.

One smell in the package and I knew this stuff was legit. It's bright and vibrant, and has that wonderful sweet tartness of black currant. I like it better than any berry powders I've tried because for some reason powdered blueberries just don't taste that fresh. I've tried making it into a bit of a jam by rehydrating it and then swirling it into my buckwheat porridge (malt-o-meal anyone?) and love alternating between porridge bites and blackcurrant bites. You do need to cleanse the palette because its very much a condiment sort of thing because of its overpowering flavor. Also of course blackcurrants are loaded with anthocyanins that can help your eyes, vasculature, nervous system, etc, etc. And quite a lot of vitamin C as well. And just to reiterate these things are TART. A very powerful flavor, but it's a fresh powerful and exactly what I was looking for.

Wow! This black currant powder exceeded my expectations on so many levels. Bought the smaller one because I wasn’t sure if I’d like it even though I’m a die hard black currant fan. It’s absolutely delicious and will completely elevate your plain old whatever you have that’s basically dull and plain. Added it to non-fat Greek yogurt and it transformed it into something divine. It’s not necessarily sweet, but it’s also not bitter or sour. You are essentially adding a rich, deep, delicious and very natural, authentic black currant source to your food. I can’t wait to add it to other things. Will be re-stocking and definitely buying the larger pack.

Gute Qualität, lecker! Ich liebe es im Frühstücksmüsli oder im Quarkdessert mittags. Oder auch bisschen in einem fruchtigen Salatdressing - sollte man unbedingt mal probiert haben. Alles in allem: empfehlenswert!
