Easy Application Eyelid Tool
To start, I naturally have double eyelids but wanted to enhance my eyelids to make them a thicker folder than they are naturally. I've heard of eyelid tape in the past, where I had friends who relied on them. This was my first first purchase and I've realized this is the best out on the market. Why? No glue is needed, just a simple spritz of water to adhere to the lid. So far I've been through 1 sheet of 12 pieces (6 pairs of application) and so far so good! I'm still perfecting my placement on each lid and should have it down by the next 6 pairs of applications! So excited to go pro with placement and makeup application. Pro Tip: Place the tape above the lash line with a gap between to make the lid fold thicker and sneak in a few strokes of liner. I did find that liquid liner did not work well with this tape applied. I simply use liquid eyeliner for the wings and filled in the rest of the liner with gel eyeliners and the tape is easily concealed and goes unnoticed with and without eye make up. I use shadow and liner and all everything looks great!

From the original 5 stars review to 1 star on "buy it again"
Update: my original 5-star review still stands for the half oval laces that I received the first time. The second time I couldn't find them on Amazon and I had to buy the full ovals. I opened the package of ovals and, as expected there was a little spray bottle but the lace had no glue on it! There is nothing that gets sticky when wet! Total crap! Now, back to my previous review on the half-ovals: It takes practice (a very little) and if you don't get it right then you have to start again with a new lace but... There are lots of lace pieces provided so you aren't going to hurt if you have to try again to get it set in the right place and although I've had to discard and reapply a tape that wasn't set on the right place, I didn't have to redo the eyeshadow. I used a cotton bud to lightly 'soak' it off and, no smudged eyeshadow. Yes, I was surprised too. It is almost invisible even to someone standing close. I complete my (powdered) eye shadow look before I apply the tape as the netting texture shows a bit if you do the color afterward, apply the tape, and a light tap of color to touch it up over top of the tape sets the illusion perfectly. It stays stuck until it gets rewetted. Applying powder first doesn't affect how it stays on. It still does a great job.

Adhesive quality of recent order.
Have been using this product for a long time, mostly great. However, recent order had poor adhesive quality and would not adhere with adding eyelash glue. Ordered again recently and will update if problem is fixed. Update on adhesive. Received a new package and the adhesive is good, like it used to be. Patting my eyelid after applying reveals a little stickiness on finger as before. Guessing the bad pack must have been a scanty glue problem, which was fixed. I did have to throw the entire old pack away and lost the money. Overall still the best I've ever tried and will keep buying, hopefully without any more problems.

Great Product Great Results
This product is easier to apply then others and doesn't require any glue, all it needs is a couple spritzes of water and then it adheres to the lid easily. When applying the water don't just focus on the middle of the tape but on the edges as well otherwise they stick up a little bit after applying them to the eyelid. It was a little tricky to put in place at first, but the more you use the product the easier it is to apply. You can barely see them on your eyelid unless you get really up close otherwise it's like they aren't even there, the product also lasts long and doesn't move. Also you can wear these with makeup and they are barely visible. The packaging of this product is so cute and adorable it is clear that they put a lot of care and thought into their product which means a lot to me :) This product does exactly what it's supposed to and it's absolutely amazing!!!

Definitely takes practice
This eyelid tape functions more like a single-sided eyelid tape instead of a double-sided eyelid tape. I was actually looking for a double-sided eyelid tape, and purchased this one on accident since it showed up in the search results for "double-sided eyelid tape." (That was totally my mistake for not reading the description closely.) I purchased it because my eyes are asymmetrical, and I only have a crease on one eyelid, so I was trying to train my eyes to develop a crease on the other side as well. It definitely takes some practice, especially if you are used to working with a tape that doesn't require moistening to activate the adhesive. The first time I used it, I accidentally sprayed too much water on it, so it took forever to dry. I've learned that two spritzes a few inches away using the spray bottle is usually enough. (Bonus - it comes with a tiny spray bottle so you don't have to get your own.) As far as placement goes, that definitely takes practice as well, and it probably depends on your eye shape and where you want the crease to be. You will definitely need to play around with where to line it up both horizontally and vertically on your eyelid. I tried looking for videos on YouTube specifically for this kind of mesh eyelid tape, but didn't really find any that gave good tips or talked about where to place them on your eye. Most of the videos I saw just focused on the ease of use. For me, I ordered the small size since I have pretty small, hooded Asian eyes. For vertical alignment, I line up the top of the tape to where I want the crease to be. The horizontal alignment is trickier - I line up one end of the tape to the inner edge of my iris. That usually does the trick for creating the crease on the inner part of my eyelid, although the hood on my eyes is pretty heavy, so sometimes the tape isn't strong enough to support a crease on the outer part of my eyelid. Because my crease is so small, sometimes when I blink, the tape separates from eyelid along the bottom, but I don't want to go through the trouble of trimming the tape lengthwise. After I'm happy with the placement, I use the little fork tool that they provided to hold it down in place until I feel like it's dried. If you don't wait for it to dry, the tape won't be as effective. I've also tried using a hair dryer to speed up the process but in order to help the crease form, I have to keep my eyes open while it dries, so the hair dryer isn't the most comfortable because it dries out my eyeballs. Overall, I'm satisfied with the product. I feel like some days it works better than others, but that's because the placement has to be very precise because if it's off by just a little bit, it can change how your crease looks. It's 2-3x pricier than other non-mesh options you might find, but I like the mesh because it's more discreet. I do wish they would come out with a double-sided version because I think that would be more efficient in training my eyes to develop a crease. After a few days of wearing it, I can sometimes go without wearing it because a crease naturally forms. (That doesn't last long for me though, so I usually have to go back to the tape.) A few other things to note: - This is a lightweight mesh tape, so it looks like a tiny piece of tulle up close. I can barely feel it on my eyes once it's on. I have light-medium toned Asian skin, and the tape blends in nicely. When it was wet, I couldn't even see the tape on my eyes. As it dries, it does become slightly more visible, but not bad from a distance. Not sure if this tape would blend in on really dark skin tones. - The tape is sandwiched between two pieces of plastic. The adhesive side sticks to the thicker piece of plastic, and you have to remove a plastic film to get to it. The plastic film is tricky to peel off at first, but you just have to keep trying. - All of the pieces come in a tiny little plastic pouch, which is really handy for making sure you don't lose any of them. - The plastic tweezers were pretty flimsy and actually split so I had to use a different set of plastic tweezers that I got from another brand of eyelid tape I purchased in the past. - You can put eyeshadow over it as long as you're gentle. If you are too vigorous with makeup application over it, the tape can peel off. If you want to line your eyes, I recommend either a liquid eyeliner or powder applied with a liner brush. I think using an eyeliner pencil might make the tape peel off if your tape placement is close to the lash line. - I haven't tried showering with it, but I don't think it would last through a shower. Sometimes if I just splash my face with water, the tape will come undone. You might be able to sleep with it on, depending on how much you move during your sleep and if you sleep on your back vs. your side or stomach.
