This shampoo is fantastic. I have been changing out my shower products for plastic free when I can. This shampoo came highly recommended and I have to agree; it's fantastic. Let me tell you about the lather, holy cow! You do not need much of this at all, just a few swipes across your head and it creates wonderful lather. It's so nice to use. The scent is labeled as citrus. I'll be honest, maybe it's citrus, but it definitely does have a "dandruff shampoo" scent to it. To me, I don't mind at all. It's not objectionable, just not as strongly scented as some other products. For me, this controls my dandruff well. I've been using it for a while and it works as well as or better than store bought products I was buying. It does come in a paper package that has been lined with a "plant based PLA lining." It says it's compostable but not in a home compost pile; it needs a commercial composter. Perhaps I have been wish-cycling it but I have been putting it in my green waste bin. Overall, I love this shampoo!

This is a wonderful shampoo for folks struggling with dandruff and SD. It starts working right away to decrease itching, remove flakes and balance the ph of your scalp so itching, flaky build up won’t return. Easy to use, lathers well, and rinses squeaky clean. My curls are bouncy and perfect after the wash, and normally I only use it 1-2x per week. I love how it’s eco-friendly and super easy to travel with; I also let it drain on a spongy soap holder so it dries completely before the next use. I’ve had mine for 10 months and I’m still using the first bar, which is maybe 3/4 gone. Love the light citrus smell as well. (As a kid I had to use a shampoo with tar and that scent haunts me forever.) It’s a new glorious day with this shampoo bar!

It has a very strong smell that reminds me of zinc based sunscreen. The smell is strong enough that I can smell it in the entire bathroom when it's just sitting in the shower dry. I've only used it twice so far and my scalp seems happy with it versus the head and shoulders have always used, but I don't have bad dandruff just more of a dry flaky scalp. It lathers nicely and my hair definitely feels clean. **update after 4mos, still plenty of bar left, I've gotten down to washing my hair just 1 or 2 times a week, i wash twice with this bar, it lathers much better the second time, telling me my hair is now super clean. i don't notice the smell of this bar in the bathroom anymore. will buy again when its gone.

Best shampoo bar I have EVER tried. I have about hip length hair so using a shampoo bar that is effective, moisturizing, and lathers well is hard to find. This one checks off all my boxes (which I NEVER thought I would find). This shampoo bar has more lather than bottle shampoo, and my hair feels wonderful. The first time I used it, I didn't use conditioner just to see how my hair would dry and wow, I was impressed! Very subtle scent, but leaves your hair feeling wonderous. Highly highly recommend. Bonus, it's made AND packaged in Maine. Their packaging is thoughtful and eco-friendly, while maintaining practicality. 10/10 product. UPDATE: I purchased two bars over a year ago, I only just had to open the second one. One bar lasted almost a whole year, I am IMPRESSED. I was expecting to go through it much quicker considering how long and thick my hair is. So incredibly happy with this product. Will be purchasing it for life!!

Having used another brand of bar shampoo in the past, and been a bit disappointed, I was hopeful, but realistic in ordering this bar shampoo. This bar shampoo exceeded my expectations. It lathers easily, making a creamy rather than like a sudsy lather and for my curly hair, it makes it very soft. I mean, noticeably softer. So that was a pleasant result. Plus it smells good and it’s helping me to defeat a tiny patch of folliculitis… It’s reduced in size after three washes. Even once the folliculitis is gone, I will stick with the shampoo, because it makes my hair nice and soft and it’s better for the environment than a shampoo in a plastic bottle. Plus, it was packaged in heavy brown paper, not plastic.

I have been using and buying these shampoo bars for years now. I love them! While most of the world of medicated shampoos is pretty utilitarian, these shampoo bars feel like a luxury in comparison. They are nicely scented, cleanse hair well, effectively medicate the scalp, and are low in environmental waste to boot! I will continue buying as long as I can. I’m actually grateful to the company for making these as, for someone who requires medicated shampoo but wanted to reduce waste, my options for shampoo bars other than these were non-existent. For the record, I have curly hair that I also heat style and bleach and have used these bars throughout with no noted ill effects on my hair nor excessive dryness. These are also great for travel and they last a long time. If you are thinking of buying do it!
