Great read, nice to see a complicated science of genetics simplified so a novice like me can read and understand it. It's not only genetics but your training, hard-work and conducive environment.

The book is absolutely amazing!

From the start to the finish I found this book interesting and I doubt it will be called to coin a phrase 'a real page turner' by many but I found I read the book much quicker than expected. The information although detailed was delivered so logically and clearly that I never felt lost in science at all. I have already discussed this book with fellow coaches and followed up by listening to the author in several podcasts. Worth a purchase

Tons of different examples ,cases of athletes all around the world from the last 70 years to deep dive in the cutting edge science related to the nature/nurture debate in athletism. Wonderful book!

The information contained in the book is fascinating and up to date. It is written in a style that anyone could read, enjoy and understand. The stories are relevant and tie in with the arguments presented. I would highly recommend this book to anyone and not just people who are interested or involved in sport.
