Soooo nourishing! Really love this product. Applies easily, goes on smoothly. Their regular moisturizer feels a little too heavy for me, but this is lighter. My skin glows up nicely, and feels really soft. I trust this brand -- excellent quality, a fantastic price, and definitely worth buying a few -- one for the gym bag, one for the purse, one for the bathroom. Highly recommend!

This review is for the Skin Food LIGHT version, which is the version I recommend over the regular version.First, I'll address what a lot of other reviews have said were negative points, but also with commentary about how this product is still 100% worth it!1) The smell - Yes, it smells like you're putting gin on your face. I really can't explain it as any other smell. The first time I applied it, I was pretty grossed out. But once I knew what to expect, I got over it with all my other applications. Because the cream itself is worth it, despite the smell. Also, the smell goes away after 10 minutes.2) The consistency - It's thick, but not thick like cream cheese. The regular version is thick like cream cheese. The light version is thick but still very clean feeling when applied. It has a cream makeup primer consistency, and it in fact makes an EXCELLENT primer. I recommend using this lotion as a primer that also hydrates your skin instead of using a makeup primer. It's better for your skin, and it gives you that really beautiful dewey look once your makeup is fully applied. If using this as a primer, you absolutely have to use some kind of foundation or BB cream over it. Otherwise, it'll look greasy instead of dewey.3) The price - It's so cheap for what it is! This is comparable in function to some of the other $150+ creams on the market. Yes, the texture isn't as luxurious. Yes, the smell is certainly in need of reformulation. But for the price, you can't beat how good it makes your skin look under makeup, and how hydrated your skin will remain with this cream.

I didn’t believe the hype, I usually don’t buy things as soon as I hear one good thing about a product. But I was at my wits end and I’ve been trying everything since suffering from a hormonal acne issue for some weeks now. After each use my skin stayed hydrated, appeared more healthy, and became more radiant. It hasn’t even been a week of use yet and I’m seeing great results. Personally I think the texture isn’t too sticky at all, it’s lightweight and thin and blends into the skin easily. My skin feels bouncy after. I don’t think you could use it as a primer personally but that’s up to you! Definitely get this.

Mature skin friendly. Has strong citrus small that goes away when it absorbs.. My skin is still moisturized the next morning after sleeping.. I use it in the A.M. and P. M.

My hands are in water a lot, so they can get dry. Weleda contains ingredients that keep the moisture in my skin without being greasy. It isn't watered down like so many lotions are. It smells great! I keep a tube in the car, on my nightstand, and in the bathroom to apply on arms and legs after a shower. It's gentle enough for a facial moisturizer too! I do wish it was a more affordable price.

This product is AMAZING. I bought it hoping it would kind of compare to the rhode barrier butter and it’s almost a perfect dupe. It’s super affordable while having clean ingredients. After cleansing I use a hypochlorous spray, a toner and this moisturizer. It makes my skin look so dewy and my pores look tighter. Absolutely love this product. It is very thick though so you only need a little bit.

Good for moisture. Not too heavy. Skin feels soft after application. Will repurchase

I do like this one better than the regular, the light version seems to go into my skin & absorbs much better . I bought both the original & the light version & i will get the light version from now on !!! I do LOVE the way they smell , despite what some people complain of - I love the scent !!! It Melts into your skin & feels luxurious . Weleda is an amazing brand & I love everything I’ve tried from them . Win win !!
