Something I've always liked.
Since Tom's of Maine was introduced to me many years ago--a dozen at the very least--I've always loved their toothpaste. The unusual variety of flavours is great to begin with. Some I like more than others, but I appreciate all the choices since my wife and I each have strong preferences that in some cases the other doesn't like so much. I've seen a flavour or two disappear, to my disappointment, such as cinnamon gel. But there are still others, such as this Whole Care Fluoride Cinnamon Clove version that I'm specifically rating for Amazon, that I also love. It's interesting that it comes in a plastic tube. I don't know if it's better or worse than the old-fashioned metal tubes. Possibly better for the environment, or your health. Maybe it's just cheaper. But the difference isn't big enough for me to cheer or growl. It might be just a little easier to squeeze that last little bit of toothpaste out at the end, which is always a bonus. There's also the under riding feeling that Tom's of Maine isn't a huge psychopathic corporation. Each box of toothpaste still has that insert that makes the assertion that it's more like a family run business that has a conscience about the ingredients it uses. Bully for them, and my family and I will therefore support them in this. It ends up costing more than the big corporation's toothpastes, but they make me nervous, health-wise.I think that I was able to save the most buying this through Amazon, and that's why I'm reviewing it here.

Great for Sensitive Gums and Teeth
My husband and I both suffer from teeth sensitivity. It is the worst sensation- the feeling of cold air brushing over your front teeth. We tried prescription strength toothpaste paired with regular floss, Crest Whitening Mouthwash, but it did not alleviate our symptoms. I was told by my dentist to switch mouthwashes to ACT Restoring because it restores enamel that is weak and will alleviate sensitivity and use Glide Comfort Floss. Boy, was she correct. After just a few days of using the mouthwash I no longer feel that uncomfortable sensation on my teeth. I also am no longer needing prescription strength toothpaste. I now use this mouthwash twice daily and floss once a day, in combination with Tom's Whole Care toothpaste. My gums do not bleed when I floss and I don't dread flossing. Glide floss goes easily between even the tightest teeth and has a lovely mint flavor that helps freshen breath at the same time. Changing the floss and mouthwash have made a huge improvement and now I can eat hot or cold foods without wincing in pain.

Switched from Crest to TOMS and I’m thrilled!
I bought this after deciding to switch to a cruelty free toothpaste. I was kind of nervous considering I’ve been using CREST for years !! I wanted a fluoride toothpaste as after reading some articles and the verdict is still undecided on the benefits of Fluoride, so I decided to opt in and, bought this toothpaste. The spearmint flavor is really refreshing and doesn’t taste artificial like a lot of Colgate and crests toothpaste. At first it is a little difficult to get used to not having those artificial flavors but it’s great once you get accustomed to it. My fiancé is not into animal rights and, he actually switched over from Colgate just because he actually liked toms better. It doesn’t get super foamy like other toothpastes and I highly recommend getting it! Some people scared me with sores and stuff in there reviews I have not seen any negative side effects and people say my teeth look much better and brighter.

Works well to clean and so on, and does not burn my mouth
- This has a very nice cinnamon+clove flavor, enough to make brushing pleasant, but not so much of anything that it burns.- Toothpastes I've seen in the stores are mint, and for some weird reason, more and more mint has been going into the, to the point where they literally burn my mouth and make the entire inside of it peel overnight. Even a big-brand cinnamon I had tried was actually a cinnamin-mint combination, for some weird reason, and that, too, was harsh.- This Tom's of Maine cinnamon+clove, though, has *zero* mint, plus it doesn't seem to get as "foamy" as other toothpastes. It just WORKS like toothpaste is supposed to, without being at all harsh.- So, even though the cinnamon is a bit expensive, it's what I'll continue to use and re-order, because toothpaste works better when I can actually *use* it.

Tastes great
The flavor reminds me a lot like Colgates Crest Cinnamon Rush flavor. You can really smell the cinnamon even before you break the safety seal on the tube. The toothpaste is not a gel but of a liquid. The flavor is the best Tom's Toothpaste I have tried arguably by far (I have also tried Spearmint and Peppermint flavor). It does not take any getting used to like the other ones. There are no flouride free versions of this toothpaste but I wish there was. Anyway at least the ingredients are not harsh and since switching to Tom's Toothpaste my canker sores have decreased substantially. Along with flouride, the toothpaste also has naturally sourced silicas (for stain removal). Seems to beat Crest and Colgate all around. Good value with the 2 for 1 deal and these are hard to find in stores. 5 out of 5 Stars. However, if you are looking to decrease teeth sensitivity or substantial teeth whitening, I would look elsewhere.
