Too Fun For Words!!!
Let me guess, the name got your first, right? Me too. Well, this really is a case of what you see is what you get. My game group has played this three nights running (and plan to keep at it), which is virtually unheard of among this diverse and hard-to-please bunch. If you like edge-of-your-seat type games, you've come to the right place. If you're not fully alert, forget about it. It won't take you long to guess an answer...quite the contrary. We're talking about mere seconds here since the expressions, cliches, sayings, phrases are extremely familiar. We use them every minute of every hour of every day. That one word is missing should cause a momentary pause at most. No, the problem is that this is also one of those Say-It-First games so, you guessed it, you need to be faster than everybody else or you get zilch. Let me restate that so there's no misunderstanding: you must be Super-Fast, along warp-speed lines. I kid you not. Each card has four questions, so you get four chances to spare your blushes. Or, better yet, the chance to win all four questions and sweep the round. But don't count on doing that often, especially if there are many people playing. You won't always be the quickest. But you'll always have fun.

Lots of family fun
This was a family gift for Christmas. The family loves it. It was easy to learn and a blast to place. I tend to get loud when I am answering and the kids have a great time picking on me for it. Lots of fun

Enjoyable and Fun
I had bought this intending to give as a Christmas gift, but when it arrived I decided to keep it! I have played it a few times since then and have thoroughly had a good time. It is a very good, fun game that doesn't take forever to play and can be played by pretty much anyone of any age, so far as I can tell. It goes by quick, in a 'time flies when you're having fun sense'. Finding the missing word, or in some cases words (two of them), won't take you an eternity and you won't be scratching your head too long, because if you don't clue into the answer someone else will. Very happy with this game!

Fast Action -- Lots of Fun
We received Don't Shoot the Messenger as a family Christmas present. It is a fast action game that was fun to play. One player would read a phrase such as "when pigs [f] - the first party to guess "fly" wins the point. Not all phrases are familiar to everyone, but generally it worked out well. Best of all, it is quick paced (I am not a fan of monopoly, etc.).

Game was too easy for the most part.
My family are all game players. I got this as a gift for my parents and when we played it, there were many cards that were super easy. We changed the game a little to make it a bit more challenging by not giving the letter hint for the answer. It would be great for a family that doesn't play games much.

My Kind Of Game
Trying to write this entire review by just using expressions, just to give this the right atmosphere, was harder than I thought, reducing me to using just one: this is "right up my alley". Hallelujah, I don't have to ask my family twice (or resort to pleading on my knees) to play with me as they are all on board with this. Since expressions and the like are embedded in our DNA, and our conversations are peppered with them, inserting them into continuous mini-races is a bright idea. The board game equivalent of comfort food.

Hilarious for entire family.
My family loves this game. They like to play the game without giving the letter clue unless they are unable to guess the answer.

Good game for a multi she group
Played this with a multi age group on New Years Eve and everyone enjoyed it - we played it as 3 teams of three people each. We preferred to say 'blank' instead of giving the first letter - seemed to make it a little more challenging.
