Very Precise Capacity - Great Value
Maglight Flashlights and Trash Can with Automatic Open. Per battery price vs. quality can't be beat. After reading the negative reviews, I did a thorough visual and electrical inspection on these 12 D-Cell Batteries. Since most of the negative comments focused on cosmetics and power deficiencies I thought it best to start here. First, I found no cosmetic flaws or dents on any of the 12 Batteries. Secondly, I used a good quality Analog Battery Tester and each tested out with the needle in the "Good" part of the scale. However, I did not stop there and tested each with a Digital VOM (Voltage Ohm Meter) set at 2 VDC for the most precise reading. I was amazed that 11 of the 12 Batteries gave a reading of exactly 1.645V and only one tested less at 1.629V. These very consistent readings give me great confidence in these batteries. Besides this, I have had excellent past success with the Eveready brand and have had some Duracell batteries leak when left in devices for a year or more (I have not had the same experience with Eveready Batteries).

Regular batteries...a life saver!
Important to have these available if the grid or any electrical problem arises... Products that use regular batteries are often better to depend on instead of those that require being juiced up electrically because general electricity may not be available under certain conditions...ALWAYS HAVE BATTERY FANS, RADIO, ETC. FOR YOURSELF IN CASE OF EMERGENCY! A life saver!

Horrible packaging falls apart in transit and results in dented batteries
If it weren't for the packaging, I'd give it 5 stars. I ordered these only to find that the inner box holding the batteries fell apart in transit (it's just very, very thin cardboard). The batteries spilled out and got all dented because they rolled around in transit and crashed into other items I purchased in the box. I returned the batteries because they were all dented and got a replacement right away (thanks Amazon). The second shipment only had the batteries, and the box again fell apart, but since it was the only item in the box, the batteries arrived undamaged. As for the batteries themselves, they are MUCH less prone to leakage than Duracell or other brands, in my experience.
