Great hammock.. Better than the fabric ones with pillows
I had a fabric hammock with a pillow that was okay. It stayed wet for a long time when it got rained on though. After 2 years of Texas sun, strips of fabric started breaking off. I love this woven hammock. It's more comfortable since it cradles you. The tight weave prevents my arms and legs from falling through. It looks natural and more elegant than my quickly faded fabric hammock. I let it get rained on and it dried so quickly I could sit in it the next day. It's such a nice looking hammock that I store it in shade when it's not being used or I don't have guests coming... We get a lot of sun and summer feels like 9 months out of the year.

Very happy with my purchase
Update: Spreader bar rotted and broke. It last 2 years in humid in Hawaii, but it was kept on a covered patio out of the rain... spreader bar broke much sooner than I'd have expected given it was well cared for.Original Review: I'm thrilled with this hammock. The weave is tight enough to be comfortable and it's wide enough for two to climb into.It is worth getting a pillow for, although I just grabbed the cushion off an old papasan chair and folded in half it's perfect when I want to be propped up in my hammock.

Very comfortable, too bad
This is the 2nd one I buy from this company. They both lasted about 5 years. What gives away is the wood that just rots and breaks. I guess this could be considered good deal if your expectancy is 5 years. I live in Florida and leave it out in the rain and sun all year. I will be looking elsewhere this time.

Things you need to know about this product before buying
Things you need to know before buying:1. This product does NOT come with mounting hardware. There are "hammock hanging kits," but I just bought 4 I-hooks at Lowes for a total of 4 bucks -- it's working great.2. This hammock is big: it measures 12 feet from one ring to the other ring. You'll want AT LEAST 11 feet between your mounting posts/trees (luckily what I had), but ideally 13 feet (1 foot longer than the product).3. The weave on this product is surprisingly soft. Both my wife and I were shocked when we touched it for the first time to discover just how soft it is.4. The weave is darker than it appears in the photos (at least on my monitor). The material almost blends in with the bark of our oak trees (just a shade darker).5. This product is very sturdy. Together, my wife and I approach 400 pounds (I won't say how much weight goes where :), and even that does not seem to approach the weight capacity of this hammock.6. Finally, this hammock is really comfortable -- but it's not a bed. I've spent the past two weekends laying in this hammock for hours reading a book. While extremely enjoyable, I do notice that after an hour I have to shift around because my back starts to become sore.Overall, I'm very pleased with this purchase. In the end, it cost me just 15 dollars more than a hammock I was considering at a local store, and in looks alone I feel I got my money's worth.'Hope you found this helpful!

Not okay for heavy people
This is a revised review as I bought (unfortunately) a second hammock. The second hammock has the same problem as the first one. After a few uses the center section is pulled too tight. This means if you're lying in the middle, all your weight is being supported by a few center strands instead of being spread across the whole hammock. I had a heavy visitor (about 280 lb.) and the center strands snapped. He got some cord and fixed it, but it shouldn't have happened. The factory isn't making these hammocks right.Maybe i'll try and return my hammocks, although perhaps it's been too long. It's a shame because the materials should be good enough, and I like the look.Below is my original review. The cord is polyester so it's weather resistant, and it's "spun" to be soft - but an old spun polyester hammock I have is softer than this. Anyone with sensitive skin will prefer wearing long sleeves while on this hammock. I'll keep this hammock, but I'll return to The Amazon to hunt for a softer version from another company. Also, the center portion of the hammock is a bit higher than the sides. This creates a natural division if two people are lying side by side, but for snugglers or one person, the tight middle is a bit of a disadvantage. I guess it'll fix itself with use. [revised review: No, it didn't fix itself with use, it got worse.]

Nice hammock, Terrible wood bars!
Update: It's been 22 months since I bought this and I feel the need to update my review. The color has faded a little but that's not a big deal. What IS a big deal is that the spreader bars are basically junk. I just set it up this afternoon because spring has sprung here in NorCal, and one of the bars snapped in half. Upon closer examination, it is completely rotted, and I was able to snap one of the remaining halves with my bare hands. Clearly not high quality hardwood or wood of any kind here. The rope is still strong and nice feeling so it's a shame that it's ruined because the bars are ruined. Given that the inexpensive hammock this replaced, lasted for more than 10 years (and the wood was still stout when the rope gave up) I can't give it more than two stars now.I got this when my cheap string hammock gave it up this spring. I love the tighter weave of this one. It has lower pressure per square inch so it feels better. It's very stretchy and the color is perfect in the yard. I'm a little concerned about a crack which has appeared on one of the spreader bars. Time will tell whether it is a good value or not.
