Awesome!
Bought as a gift for my fiancé, he does homebrews and wants to dabble with kombucha. He loved it! It said something about a koosie for it but we didn’t get that. Late entry from my hubby: *** My fiancé got me this mini keg for Christmas, and man, is it sweet. At 128oz, it’s the size of two growlers, so it’s absolutely perfect for a handful of people on a camping or snowboarding trip. It’s very easy to assemble and clean, and the craftsmanship is top notch. The parts all feel and look and function like professional-grade brewing equipment. It’s compatible with a wide range of CO2 cartridges, and is quite intuitive to use once you’ve charged it and used it for a couple of beers. It’s also a fun conversation piece, and is bound to spark interest with friends. Overall, I’m super stoked on it. Easiest 5/5 I’ve ever given, considering the quality, function, and price. It’s a steal. *Also, I noticed a review on here that said it doesn’t fit in a fridge. I have no issues with it fitting in my fridge, even when fully assembled. Not all fridges are created equal, I guess...*

Excellent quality
I LOVE this growler/mini-keg. I had another pressurized growler but getting it to consistently hold the CO2 was a pain. I burned through a number of cartridges on a number of occasions getting the cap for the CO2 cartridge to hold without leaking but this mini keg works GREAT. It may not be as compact as some you see but moving some shelves in my spare fridge to accommodate it was well worth the effort. The cartridges last for two or three refills (if you remember to shut the CO2 off before you try to refill!) and, so far several weeks later, everything has worked perfectly. It may not have the "sex appeal" of some other pressurized growlers but I'm more into function and I like the looks of this one anyway. Addendum: I LOVE this growler so much I ordered a second one for occasional use when we are staying out of town at a place we go frequently to vacation. However, the regulator that came with the second one was flaky, showing pressure rising even when the regulator hadn’t been touched. Further, when the pressure exceeds a certain level, the regulator is supposed to release pressure to keep it at a reasonable level. THIS regulator, however, didn’t work correctly so I returned it to Amazon in an exchange for the same thing. The exchange was flawless, the new product arrived in a timely fashion, and the regulator functions as it should. MORAL OF THIS STORY: Buy this as a Prime offer and check it out when you get it. If the regulator isn’t right, exchange it. No worries - no drama. Still love it.

Mini-keg keeps craft brews fresh and fizzy
I've wanted a growler for years, but I never bought one, because I can't drink a half-gallon of beer before it goes flat from repeated openings of the bottle. I thought "Wouldn't it be great if somebody made a CO2-pressurized growler and tap?" Well, naturally somebody did, and here it is. I was really pleasantly surprised at the very high quality of the engineering and manufacturing of the components. The stainless steel "mini keg" looks like the real thing, and gets lots of stares and compliments. But the magic is the pressure-dispensing system, which consists of several parts precisely CNC machined out of solid ingots of stainless steel, to the level of precision and finish seen in aerospace parts of high-end smartphones. It all screws together with machined (not stamped) threaded fittings and O-rings. Simply screw in a standard 12 gram CO2 cartridge, screw the assembly on top of the little keg, and presto! Your own craft beer tap. It comes apart for cleaning, and should last for years. Every die hard craft beer fan will love one of these, as long as it fits in your fridge. I bought a 30-pack of CO2 cartridges to go with it: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B01AB3DQEW and they were well made, too.

Works Well - Instructions Could Use Some Improvement
First, I like the keg. I used it this weekend at 10,000' elevation. Apart from a user error, I had no major issues with the keg, perhaps a couple of minor ones. To start, this is a great way to transport kegged beer. I'm also delighted by the tap - it threads onto my stainless steel growler, too! A 16g cartridge is more than adequate to dispense the gallon and a half of beer at the altitude mentioned above. The tap and regulator are easy to disassemble and clean after use. My problems with the tap are first, foamy beer. I may have been the cause since, knowing I was going to transfer the beer from my 5 gallon Corny kegs to the smaller kegs for transport, I overcarbonated them, perhaps too much, and had issues with excessive foaming. The instructions could have prevented this, although I may have to claim responsibility for it. An issue with the equipment itself, the tap handle is VERY sensitive! Be aware of this or you'll be squirting beer all over. It takes practically no force to move the tap so be warned. From an engineering perspective, the regulator and CO2 cartridge hanging out on the "spear" could be an issue if the keg is knocked over or falls. But I'm satisfied with the unit. Positives (and the keg has a lot of them): - Easy to disassemble and clean - Tap can be threaded into most stainless steel growlers - Makes transporting kegged beer easy - Easy to chill - Keeps beer fresh - Works well at altitude if pressure is set correctly - Relatively light weight Good product overall, some slight issues.

Mostly perfect but needs a few special extras
The product was nice. It was capable of carbonating and dispensing a gallon of beer on one 16g CO2 cartridge. It looks good and the directions are easy to understand. They could have done better with a few things though. You need pipe thread tape rated for gas and it does not come with that. You have to cut your own hose length, when they probably know the perfect length and could have cut it for you while leaving the extra in the box anyway. This thing needs a lock on the draft handle. It is soooo easy to move this thing around and tap the handle spilling your beer. A lock would be great touch. And finally you also need a cap for the spout. it drips every single time its poured. With a cap there is no mess. I would have paid the extra money for a real complete kit. Over all very good item. I gave my "Complete Kit" away for Christmas and will be getting another.

Good for conditioning and serving
I bought this as I really dislike bottling beer. After some research on using my glass growlers to condition (don't! the pressures go too high!), I decided to pick this up. First, it is well made with a nice finish. It easily conditioned 128oz of an IPA I made. Second, the tap system was intuitive and easy to attach. It made a nice presentation when serving beer to guests, though it took about a glass to figure out the dispensing pressure - no real issues afterward. The next day, the beer was still nicely carbonated, though I was hoping to have it last a few days longer. That was not a fault of the system, it was due to friends thinking the beer form this growler was somehow better than the bottles and other growlers I used in the past. Afterwards, the unit cleans up easy. I'll probably pick up a second 128 oz growler without the tap for parties.

Use it for all our beer needs, great taste, solid build quality
I purchased this item as a gift for my father and this mini-keg has worked great. The set up was super easy and he had no problems with leaks or spills since then. It’s all stainless, easy to clean, and easy to use. The quality is high and Beer pours perfectly. The size is great for home use and fits in the fridge very well. So, this lets him keep beer for longer in the fridge without using bottles and keeps beer fresh for several days. It also has a natural pressurized cap so you don’t have to use CO2 if you’re drinking it in the near future. Strongly recommended.

Good keg and tap, garbage regulator. UPDATED with a few measurements
I've only used this maybe a dozen times, and thrice now I've had the regulator freeze and discharge the entire co2 cartridge. I'm happy to report that the safety valve functions as intended.. At any rate, I'm going to have to replace the regulator and will probably go to a remote setup with a soadstream tank and proper regulator. Those mini regulators are convenient for portable dispensing, but I just use mine for carbonating small batches of mead (works for that, when the regulator behaves) and dispensing at home. I have twice used it as a growler, do note that the blank cap is pretty sharp on the edges. A bartender and I both have been cut by it. Anyway, my recommendation is if you need something this size, plan to only use the provided regulator for mobile use. If you need controlled carbonating or head pressure, this is just ok, but a good regulator is really needed. I used to be a brewer at a local brewery, so it's not misuse or lack of sanitation on my part. UPDATE: Instead of going for a Sodastream setup, I'm using a 5Lb Kegco tank and regulator with a ball lock connection. For reference, in case you want to try and find/make adapter fittings, the gas in on the lid of this mini keg is a M14x0.75 o-ring to M8x0.75 adapter for use with the mini regulator (which seems to be standardized). There is no M14x0.75 to ball lock or hose barb, you'd have to find an adapter to go from that to something common for barbed fittings like 1/4 npt to make it work. The best way I found included two adapters and about $50 shipped. The better solution, and what I did, was purchase a "mini keg dispensing lid" from Northern Brewer. Others are available, the size and thread pitch on all these mini kegs are somewhat standardized (note: this is not the same as the Heineken mini keg). It comes with a male ball lock as the gas in, which is what I was going for, and costs about $20 more than the three-adapter solution with four potential points of leak/failure. For the headache I've had trying to find thread pitches and workarounds, this would have been well worth my time to just buy the dispenser lid at the beginning. You're welcome.
