Only works on radios equipped for electret microphone elements
This microphone only works on radios that are made for electret microphone elements. Not just any 4 pin radio, only the ones that say electret microphone in the radio manual. The electret element requires the radio to supply voltage on the audio wire to power the element. The element has transistors built in and will not work without power. On a radio that is made for it, this microphone sounds fantastic. I run this on my Stryker 955 and get great reports on clarity and quality of sound.

Electret not quite. It's quiet if you ain't wired right
If you don't know what that means, you probably can't use it. It's an upgrade from the chicklet mic that Uniden gives you with the 510. It's an excellent microphone for $10. It's that cheap because people send them back because they try to use them for radios that need a dynamic mic.One review says it quite. Quite what? They meant quiet. Big difference. If you are using it on a radio meant for a dynamic mic, this mic will be quite quiet. It needs a power source. It is a fantastic mic for $10. It is that cheap (used) because people return them thinking they don't work. They work on radios that use electret mics not dynamic mics. I'm quite sure the bad reviews are user error. Now I'll be quiet

Plug & Play for Uniden CB Radios
A little over a year ago, I found a Uniden PRO510XL for $15 on Craigslist. Unfortunately, the original mic didn't work. Though I had an old Realistic noise canceling power mic that works on my PRO510, it has the volume control located on the corner; that means you can change the volume setting without intending to do so, making it distracting in traffic If you're in a busy city, the last thing you need is any sort of distraction!. For that reason, I needed to find a good, replacement stock mic for my CB, something that I could pick up and use without thinking about it. This mic fit the bill. The mic feels very good in my hand. It's wired for my radio, so it worked from the moment I plugged it in; this is pure plug and play! The mic sounds good. Plus, the price is right. If there's one quibble I have with this mic, it's that the cord is too long. This might be good in a truck or large vehicle where the extra length will do the user some good, but it's too long for a regular car. Where can I put all that extra mic cord? For that reason, I keep this mic as a spare. In closing, if you need a good replacement mic for your Uniden CB radio, this is a good one to get. It's pure plug & play; it'll work the moment you plug it in. It sounds good. It feels good in the hand. Plus, the price is right. Overall, this microphone is a good value.

OK Product, did not honor Prime
Seller didnt honor Prime. While they may blame big A, I paid for Prime so I suggest seller get with big A and work something out.

Breaker, breaker 19. Need I say more?
It is what it was and it still is that, hanging below my CB radio, waiting the opportunity to speak with randoms over citizens' band radio. Someday again soon we will speak more.

Does not work with adapter for Uniden Grant XL
Probably works well with the Bearcat series. Does not work with the 5 pin adapter for radios like the 148 or Grant XL.
