Chihuahuas not bothered
Several critters chewing threw wire harnesses in two trucks. One chewed threw electricle wire to injector and caused failure. Wires to brake and turnsignals. Sprayed this inside under hood bottom under entire truck inside and no more walnuts under seats. I spray like crazy not just one or two. All my chihuahuas are not affected by this spray.

Doesn’t work immediately
I can’t seem to find a squirrel repellent that keeps them from ripping my garbage bags open. The one I use to buy went out of business so I purchased this one. I quickly find out it doesn’t work at all! I ordered this May 2020, I put it on the shelf in a closet and forget about it. Almost 4 years later I use it to try and stop the squirrels from ripping my garbage bags and it works great! I spray the bags really good and the squirrels don’t touch the trash bags. I order another bottle, I put my garbage out this morning and sprayed the bag from top to bottom. Three hours later I go outside and 2 squirrels are sitting on the bag torn open going through the garbage. This spray only works when you let it sit for years and the product gets stronger and does what it says it’s supposed to do, KEEP SQUIRRELS AWAY! This product doesn’t work at all, but if you have the patience to wait a few years this is the squirrel repellent for you.

I don't understand how it works, but it does.
I live in a ground floor apartment that has a decent amount of plants on it. The squirrels love to run around the railing and under the fence of the patio constantly, which causes my dog to go nuts. The little turds have been going after a few of my potted vegetable plants lately, so I bought a bottle of this.I was fairly skeptical, but it actually works. I sprayed this every day on the concrete of my patio, the ground around my fence, and on top of my fence. It has a fairly strong scent (natural smelling, not chemically) and within a couple of days the squirrels wouldn't go near my patio.Keep in mind, I sprayed this every day for a solid week (even after rain) so I am unsure if being consistent is necessary for this to work.I have since ran out of the product, and two weeks later I still don't see squirrels. I will buy another bottle and spray once a week to try and keep them at bay.

Works, but...
BE VERY CAREFUL USING THIS.It stinks to high heaven and, at least for my squirrels, really works.BUT...AND THIS IS A BIG CAUTIONARY BUT:The spray mechanism allows massive leaking. Not only does the pistol part leak while you're using it, the cap isn't secure/tight on the bottle opening despite tightening it to the max. I realized this only when I noticed the drip going down to my pants legs and garden clogs (I was continuing to use it, figuring that I could just wash off the minor leakage from the pistol mechanism). What seems like a totally good idea...that the stuff doesn't wash off in the rain...actually also means that you can't wash it out of denim or whatever garden clogs are made from. And when you wash the affected areas of the denim, any water that gets on the rest of the garment will stink up the rest of the garment. I've tried several detergents and Dove dishwashing liquid...and I will still stink, probably forever, when I wear the pants. The shoes aren't that much of an issue because they just stay in the garage anyhow and seem to not have absorbed as much as the denim.Right now, the pants are hanging on an accordian clothes dryer out on my deck. I'm going to be afraid to put them in the dryer. I might just throw them out.Meanwhile, I put the regular cap back on the bottle and will use the stuff with disposable gloves and a disposable rag.UPDATE: Neither Borax nor Odorzout touched the smell. Pants are now in a trash bag, waiting outdoors until my garbage pickup.

Works well but you need to constantly reapply
Does a great job of repelling them, but washes off when the sprinkling system goes on and you have to reapply. So, essentially, it's not a solution but a quick fix that you end up being tied to. A never ending task of applying and reapplying.

Total Disappointment - did nothing to deter the squirrels from my bird feeder.
Either I have very aggressive squirrels or the product did not make a difference. I bought it to keep squirrels off and away from the birdfeeder. It did not deter them! I was so disappointed!

Doesn't work well on squirrels
I sprayed this for 7 days on a section of the tree to deter squirrels from jumping from there to my bird feeder. It didn't work to keep the squirrels from getting on that section.

Preventing car damage.
I have a serious rodent (specifically squirrel) problem and have tried a wide variety of solutions without success. However, this rodent repellent worked amazingly! I sprayed it on the pavement around the car & into the wheel wells. I normally see numerous squirrels around the car & in the yard each day. Since using this product, I have not seen ANY squirrels in the yard or around the car. I am duly impressed!
