Love this towel- it works great in a hot yoga class and actually gets more grip when it’s wet (gross but true). Barely moves at all so doesn’t interrupt your yoga flow! Highly recommend.

update after using towel once a week since a July: The towel has great grip and doesn’t slip during practice, which I really like. BUT, with time plastic layer has shrink and now towel doesnt fit the mat nor both sides are equal which makes yoga class difficult. It is quite dissapoiting because even after washing it in cold water as instructed it shrieked and it does stink if you wont ventilate it for 2+ days. I get better results with cheaper mat, it doesnt worth the money.

I practice Yoga at least once a week and have been using this mat for at least 5 years now. Bought a new one to replace the old one.

Oh OH OH OH OH OH OH I LOVE THIS TOWEL SO MUCH!!!!!!!!!!!! The low-down: I do a lot of hot yoga, and was really tired of slipping all over the place. I use the Gaiam Chai Premium 5mm mat. This towel is pretty thick and will not fit into a regular yoga mat bag (and I own a pretty big one but it still doesn't fit), but here's the deal. The entire underside of this towel is like one of those small non-slip mats you put on your dashboard, or as a cupboard liner. IT DOES NOT MOVE, doesn't need to be wet to stick, and it stays put wet or dry. It took a couple sessions getting used to how thick everything was, which make balancing poses a little tricky but you get used to it fast. This towel is crazy absorbent, and I'm a super slick and sweaty yoga practitioner. No creasing, no slipping, lovely microfiber, whoever says it's non-absorbent is out of his/her mind. The price is very fair for how great this towel works. Really. Stop hesitating and thinking about spending twice the amount on yogitoes. Don't get me wrong, yogitoes is great. This is just better. I wish the towel came in other colors, and that it's just slightly thinner than is being manufactured right now. Also, if you do a lot of vinyasa and shift between poses by dragging your feet across the mat it can get pretty hot because the towel is so dense. I LOVE THIS TOWEL. LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE. <3

I'm not sure how to rate this. I bought two and one is perfect!!! Love it but the second one doesn't sit properly. I think the fabric is supposed to be adhered to the sticky side.... So that it is one piece. But the second towel doesn't appear to be adhered. So the fabric side is loose and moves around. You can see in the photos how lose the one is compared to the other.

There are lots of mixed reviews on this product about it being slippery or not, but everybody is right! If you start using this and you have dry hands or feet, it will defintely feel slippery. It has this soft material like any other microfiber would feel. However, the second that you start to have a little sweat/moisture in the palms or feet, you will stick like glue. I love this mat because I get really sweaty hands during downward dog and sweaty feet during a wide-legged forward bend, and this keeps me glued in place. I also tend to get warm and sweat more than the average person possibly, so if you don’t get sweaty until later on in a flow, give it a spritz with some water and you’ll be good to go. Haven’t washed it yet, and also be aware that it has a slightly chemically smell right outta the box, so hang it up to let it air out (mine smells like nothing now). The grippy material on the bottom keeps it from slipping off my mat as well, but I also have a gaiam mat, so that might help with that. Anyways, works great for vinyasa, and I assume it would be perfect for hot yoga since it works better with a little sweat.
