First thing is first: it is undoubtedly a nice case. It's lightweight, but sturdy, and the foam seems to be of a good quality. You may want to dab a little super glue here and there to ensure it stays in place.Now the problem: this just barely fits my rifle. I had to figure out a Tetris position for it to fit in and it's quite literally the only possible direction or way to put it in the case and have it closed. Any other direction and the scope is in the way every time. For a shotgun or something without a scope, or a low scope, it should probably work fine, but you need to consider the area loss from the handle openings on both sides. It reduced the middle height by about 3.5-4 inches.That being said, I plan on keeping this for a couple of reasons. First, it's far too difficult for me to get to a place to return it. Second, it does actually fit my rifle, even if it is a tight fit. Third, it has three locations for locks, which means it will be secure and you'll need a little bit of work to get it open by pesky, prying hands. The way my rifle sits, it allows for a little space to throw in a couple other things you may need, but that's up to you risking things hitting your gun, however, with the foam coming together that seems rather unlikely to me. Finally, if the "too tight" of a fit for my particular setup becomes an issue of wear on the rifle or irritation in another manner, I can just take a file and slime down some of the edges that are a little bit tighter in those areas and call it good. I would recommend this case. When closed I feel confident that your scope will not bounce around and I'm fairly certain if you mistakenly forget to put your gun on safety, it shouldn't misfire from an impact (no loaded rounds, fellas!)For comparison, the rifle in the image is 51" long from butt to muzzle.

I bought this for my husband who has always been using the cloth gun cases. He is beyond ecstatic to having a hard case.

Strong case. Having 1100 magnum shotgun with 30” barrel latex straight leaves 1” space for centering gun so it looks straight and center a bit from each end of the case. Diagonal would give extra space on ends. The case is strong and extra items easily fit. I put walker electronic muffs without walkie talkie in and they seem ok for me the mic would have to be positioned to keep width the same. I like the absolute needed items easily available. I seem to measure 51 3/4” actual inside usable length space. Between round manufacturing inside the ends there is 3/16” extra on each end. I like my 1100 with 30” barrel and this case is GREAT for me.
