Loved the series for the most part but
Loved the series for the most part but the author ended this series to abruptly and I was left thinking what just happened? It was as if she wanted to be done and summed it all up rather quickly. Too quickly. I wish she would have taken her time and ended the series properly. I was very disappointed in the final books. But the books up until then were great

Overpriced Books With a Wimpy Easily Conned Main Character
There was a real problem with these books throughout all of them, but you don't really get seriously annoyed with that until your sucked in all the way.Luckily, I found a better price at a discount store instead of the high prices here.I HATE main characters that are insanely stupid and continuously stupid, even after so many things happen, you'd think they wouldn't fall for the same type of traps and cons over and over again, but they do.I couldn't STAND Cassie. She was lame, stupid and pathetic. Each and every time something happened to her, you expected her to be wary and cautious, but you find that it never took much for her to fall right into another trap.Maybe its because each book is too short.Maybe its because each installment isn't worth ten bucks each.Maybe its because all of this shouldn't have dragged out for so long. I don't know.Cassie wasn't a strong person. For some reason I could easily see her fail. I was silently hoping she would. Also, you had mean and nasty characters like her sister who kept doing the most horrible things get constantly forgiven. No one ever seemed to learn their lesson from the last time something went wrong.Authors will write scenes that cause trouble to keep the story going and going, but by doing that, makes the reader realize how ridiculous the people are acting in these stories. These kids were 15 and 16 years old as well. NONE of them would be using the eloquent and big words they used either. I let that pass because they were witches I suppose, but it's very difficult for someone to write about teens when that age passed them by a long time ago.Not my favorite and way overpriced.

Great!
I loved it. I know it was not written by L.J. Smith, and I did notice a slight difference in how the book flowed. But I still loved it. If you are a fan of the secret circle you will love the continuation of this story!

The Temptation
I wasn't as intrigued by this book. I felt like there was something missing, maybe because there was too much going on. However, I do always enjoy when Nick and Cassie get closer. And I did enjoy this read, it just wasn't my favorite of the series so far. I would recommend you to read it, so when the next book comes out you're up to speed.

Consider this fan-fiction
I am 31 years old and the original Secret Circle books are among my favorites, so I had to read the next three books even though I knew they would never live up to the first. This last book especially left me underwhelmed. If you consider these three books as fan-fiction then maybe they're not so bad, but seriously a real fan of the series could have done a better job compare to this new author. The main problem is that she doesn't really follow things that happened in the original books, and don't get me started on her treatment of the characters: Cassie is basically an idiot, Adam is a boring, cowardly fool, and the others don't have any likability or personality traits, which is stark contrast to how they were portrayed in the original books. I don't see why the author even brought back Black John and his evil to these books when there could have been a million other conflicts (a rival coven, an evil, lone witch-- not related to Cassie)...it would have also been nice to see Nick get together with someone else in the Circle (I always wanted him and Diana to get together) instead of continuing to pine over Cassie. Or better yet, do a new story revolving around the Circle's teenaged children! The original books were published in 1992,so if they got married and had kids fairly early, they're kids would be the right age!

Good book could be improved!
The Temptation is a good book but if it is the last book in this series then I am slightly disappointed. I enjoyed all of the books immensly but I feel like this one could have been better. There are some parts of the story left unresolved in my opinion. Which is why I think another book could be written to clear this up. However, I do like wondering what could happen to the characters now. I am able to come up with my own conclusions which is just as fun. Don't get me wrong I did love reading this book. It arrived yesterday and I finished it when I came in from work (I am a really fast reader when I enjoy reading something) A good read and conclusion to the series but I feel like a small part of the plot is missing in connection with relationships in my opinion. Other than that it was perfect for me!

It was ok
I purchased this book as it was the last in the recent Trilogy of TSC.I can honestly say unless they bring back L.J Smith to write another book I will not be purchasing another. You can tell the quality of writing between the 2 authers and I feel Aubrey Clark just phoned it in. The Original Trilogy written by L.J Smith was well written and the story unfolded slowly with great detail. Aubrey Clarks Trilogy was rushed and the books dont even take 3 hours to read. I also felt characters were left out and didnt get much development. The book itself was rather rushed it could have been expanded into a bigger story and it didnt take long to read at all.The Devide was Ok, The Hunt held my attention, The Temptation left me feeling a bit cheated out of my money for what it was.If you havent started Aubrey Clarks Trilogy yet I wouldnt bother wasting your money If you have then you might aswel finish the story.

... must be read in sequence to be able to enjoy the full and total storyline
This novel is one of 7 stories which must be read in sequence to be able to enjoy the full and total storyline, mainly for teenagers but also for adults if you enjoy rfeading this type of book. Based on a teenage group of witches that have there own coven, the trials and trroubles which lead to a very exciting finish in The Secret Circle - Temptation. by L.J. Smith.

Addicte
Ha I am a 31 year old mother of a teenager in training. I used to read the point horror books way back when and I always remember my favourite series was by the author LJ Smith. Absolutely made up when my daughter asked if she could read these books and immediately started to read ahead of her, you know, just I case she gets any questions. Now we're addicted and read all of the books within about a week or two!

I think if L J had finished this series it would have been better. The characters seem all the same to me ...
This was clearly a weak last attempt at finishing L J Smiths secret circle. I found the story flat and I have simply given it three stars because it was finished. I think if L J had finished this series it would have been better. The characters seem all the same to me and there are so many holes in the story this is a literary teabag. Three stars is being kind really.
