My Main Gigging P/A
I am updating my review after having used this amp as a professional musician for over three years. My original intention was to use it exclusively as a monitor at the keyboard. I place the amp on the left corner of the keyboard and point the speaker toward myself for large gigs when also using a full P/A. Sound quality is really monitor purposed more so that speaker purposed but acceptable for smaller audiences. Surprisingly, I have ended up using this monitor as a main for all of my smaller gigs. The sound quality is nothing like the fullness I get from my JBL EON G2 10 inch or 15 inch speakers but it is so compact and versatile that it is hard not to use it. My overall sound quality complaint is its lack of low end. You can increase the bass EQ but it changes for all channels, which is quite undesirable when running multiple instruments through it like a vocal mic and acoustic guitar or keyboard. I used to use a small Yamaha mixer and a single JBL 10 inch EON G2 for small gigs but thanks to all of the inputs on this I have been able to reduce my setup for small events down to this single unit. I miss having some effects and wish this could mute inputs and not require memorizing where I had the levels when not playing through it, like when the band takes a break. I experienced some artifacts while I was entertaining with keyboard, guitar, and two vocal mics with drums, sax, and violin not running through this amp. The room had a loud 150-200 people for about four hours and the output from this amp was just right. I actually pointed it toward myself on the corner of my keyboard since I had no other monitor and it still worked fine to entertain throughout the room. I have not experienced those artifacts ever again. This was years ago but I am certain everything was plugged into a line conditioner, but a couple years ago I did have to replace a TRS cable so that could have been the cause. This has my go to amp. On most gigs I run a Taylor acoustic guitar and a KSM9 for vocals through it. I also often run my hollowody through it on jazz gigs and sometimes violin using The Band by Headway that I usually provide for my violin and viola players. Used it at a corporate gig with vocals, guitars, and violin going through and it did very well as the sole P/A. Also had drums, bass, trumpet, sax, and trombone on that gig and my musicians did ask a few times for me to turn it up. The crowd and the owner of the restaurant requested the same. I had it sitting on a table just within reach behind me to my left, in front of most of the rest of the band. On vox/gtr gigs I usually set it on a chair to my left just slightly behind me so I can see the front panel and easily reach to adjust levels. I don't often adjust levels since I can do that on my guitar but I do like it slightly behind me so I can still hear it as a monitor. I tell clients that this compact P/A is for events with up to 150 guests. This assumes guests are talking and dining, which is usually loud enough that, that many people are shouting to carry on conversations. This speaker can get loud enough to still be enjoyable for audiences of that nature but will not send the sound far enough for larger outdoor venues like golf courses. I have used it with the included microphone stand adapter. You have to be careful with it on a stand because it is heavier than it looks and will tip. I carry and store it in a small to medium sized Chauvet soft lighting bag that also holds a 30 foot IEC, a 50 foot XLR, and a 30 foot TRS cable. In the rear pocket I barely also fit a Shure KSM9 in a soft case. Nothing better than this has crossed my path in the last few years. Even though it is compact it is fairly heavy so I often wish I had one to keep in my truck for gigs and one to keep at my keyboard in my recording studio. Aside from weight I would love to be able to mute individual channels without having to turn down the volume and hopefully remember where it was set when that instrument needs to be live again. I don't think more could fit into this small a package without having a digital interface. Effects are something I almost never use so not having them doesn't bother me. If you are on the fence about whether or not you need this, definitely get it.

This product LASTS, great sound.
Great product, worked well with the guitar and drum pedal. I moved instruments but still use it every day linked to my stereo system, excellent sound quality and as loud as you want it to be. Ive had it for years (probably 10) and its as good now as it was out of the box! Obviously really well built. Nothing has broken, all the functions work perfectly.

Great idea; could have been better
I have a love/hate relationship with this monitor. I love the extra input, which makes it a lot more versatile than its smaller sibling (the BEHRINGER EUROLIVE B205D and its cousin the Mackie SRM150 5.25-Inch Compact Active PA System . I dislike the thumbdrive feature because that technology is outdated. Had bluetooth been included I would have a total love for it. This is not appreciably louder than the smaller B205D or SRM150, but has truer sound. The extra inch of the speaker is an improvement. In small venues this can also be transformed into a small PA. That can even be expanded by adding additional units (or B205Ds or Mackie SRM150s) using the daisy chain capabilities. Those come from the XLR male 'Through' connection on the back into the combo XLR/1/4" Main In connection. You can use an XLR to 1/4" cable to connect the Through to the Main In. You then can control the volumes of each unit through their master volume knobs. A single one of these works in small venues as a PA (although if it's a small bar, coffeehouse or restaurant I recommend at least two daisy-chained.) For venues that I mainly play - retirement and nursing homes - the audiences are attentive and a single one of these will work for up to fifty residents. For larger venues these are great monitors that can be connected to a PA by connecting the Through port to the PA's mic or instrument inputs (you can select either on the back of the unit). You can also use this for a single instrument and two mics, for for three mics, then mix and pipe them into a PA (or use this as a small PA). It will also accommodate condenser mics because you can turn on phantom power. There are no effects, nor is there an effects loop. You can use effects between your mics and instruments and the three inputs on the front, but if you are then sending the mix to a PA there is no way to separate them once they are in the PA's input channel. Overall, if you are considering a B205D this is a better deal in my opinion. As for my wish for bluetooth I solved that by connecting an iKross Bluetooth 3.0 Wireless Audio Stereo Music Streaming Receiver to the RCA jacks on the front.

I am pleased!
Adequate sound level easy to use, good quality, a little out dated, mp3, no effects not even reverb, it is however very easy to position, and sounds good!
