Icm Furnace Control Board Icm292

WOW! Ordered in 2020 for $26.00. What a steal/deal.I put it on in the spring and it took care of the issue right away. Worked until end of furnace season 2023 when it started having the same issues the original board had. I figure it is a bad relay or something a skilled EE would fix without thinking hard.The original problem was somewhat of a start and stop through-out each heater cycle. I cleaned or replaced about every component and a new blower motor seemed to fix it for a month. In the summer, the AC still worked fine. Well, this ICM292 board worked great. Wish it had lasted longer but for the $26 I paid for it I am very happy. I also don't have the time to fuss with it this winter to really see if it is bad and so I will give it a 5 star rating.Notes: I had a local "Pro" come give it a once over and he told me it was a bad furnace/AC. He would replace it for $15K. Well, it's been 5 years since his visit and the AC and furnace have been working great on this board. I noticed the issue again at the end of last fall and so I am proactively replacing this board to avoid winter/heater problems. Even the current $150 is dollars is a lot less than a new furnace!I have seen countless neighbors replace similar furnace/AC units over the past 10-15 years and so I figure I got twice the life out of my furnace because I was willing to do a little work. Not all HVAC Pro's are as I described above. I now know one I will work with when I know I need to replace my furnace.

Not much to say. This was a binary matter of part replacement. What did not work with the old, worked with this. I'm happy.I would suggest for us amateurs, taking some pictures of the broken circuit board to know where all the cords go, and then carefully put them in the same place on this one, so there is no mistake.

The board powered up. The heater would work, but the gas valve would have random shorts at start up. Tech support contacted. Suggested adjustments were made. Problem was still there. Removed this board and installed the OEM version from Rheem. That works perfectly for twice the price and it's worth it. This ICM292 board is not designed well or my unit was defective. Possibly both.

My installer wanted me to buy a board that his supplier sold but it was $100.00 more and not the newer model. I purchased this one and it replaced the "old" one easily. Had for a couple of months and works fine. I would definitely recommend this product if you research your model number and are very sure that it will fit.

This product is a fantastic option. Under half the cost for the same part from the heater manufacture and works just as well. For the DIYers out there this is a great way to not pay the hourly rate of the repairman.

Seems to work fine. Wasn’t exact match so you have to keep track of what each wires function is. Half price of rheem board. Been running for a week no problems

Defective on arrival. Had it professionally installed and had 2 different shorts in the board. Do not recommend. No option to return it or get a refund.
