These may work for light support, but.....
I needed some good support socks for my tired, achey legs. I just started a job where I am on my feet all day long and that's a chore when you have vericose veins as I do. I ordered two kind of support socks to compare them. This sock was NOT the better pair. These socks did not stay up, nor were they very good compression, compared to my other purchase. I think these might be fine for people who need light support, perhaps with pregnancy or whatever. But I needed something with staying power. I found them in my other purchase by Footsmart called, "Smart support women's seam free microfiber nylon support trouser sock." Lengthy name, I know, but wow do they work well for me. So well I bought another pair.

It Works
Note: I was going to return them once I opened the package, they looked like crew socks! I decided to try them on, and wow they fit! DO TRY THEM BEFORE RETURNING. You will think they are going to be too short. Trust me I have spent over $100 on compression socks they roll down at the end of the day. I have tried many compression socks these are what they advertised as. The compression is just right at the ankle and calf, does not cut into my ankle. I have extra large calf's 18 inches. I also thought they would run or tear not yet. I will put these on my monthly order list. I wear a size 7 shoe, yes the toe is too large, however I like not having them too tight in the toe, just make sure the heal is where it should be and you'll be fine. Thanks!

Great compression socks; keeps swelling under control.
These compression socks appear to be durably made; they feel good, and fit snugly like they should. I have venal insufficiency and my ankles and feet swell during the day. I control it with compression socks, and these are the best I have found. (For perspective on fit, my calves are average length and circumference. As long as I am wearing my compression socks regularly, a fashion boot with a 14" circumference fits me well; I don't need wide boots.)I prefer these over the open-toed/ankle compression socks that cost over $20 each. They do a much better job.

Wonderful Product - Life Saver!
I had a wonderful pregnancy up until week 30.... and the edema had set in. I found myself looking at our local Walgreens for compression socks becuase my feet felt like they were on fire all day from the swelling. I was having a hard time standing and even doing simple things like showering. The prices at Walgreens were expensive and i couldn't look up reviews on any items. They ranged from $25.00 - $50.00 a pair. I went straight to Amazon and found these wonderful socks! I bought 2 pair and would buy them again and again! I am a size 9... so not sure if you were a 10 or an 11 how they would fit....... they fit VERY snug. I am still having some water in my knees and thighs but these at least allow me to function during the day. I did not want to get full compression leggings becuase I heard they are impossible to get on and off. Don't kid yourself either... these are amazing but difficult to put on (specially with a 9 month preg belly at this point). If you need compression socks you should buy these!!

Compromised Quality
I have been buying these compression socks for YEARS. They used to last at least a YEAR. Now I am lucky they last a month or two before holes forming. I don't care for them any different. These are not cheap. You have greatly compromised your quality in the manufacture of these.

First time buyer of compression socks
I was quite upset and skeptical when I received the package that read "Hosiery". I went back to my order account and re-read the reviews and description. I finally opened up the socks and they were much thicker than my idea of hosiery. I have VERY bad circulation in my legs and at 41 I finally broke down and got "granny socks". After about 30 minutes of wearing the sox I can't believe this feeling of...blood flow! It is a cool feeling not a hot feeling from blood pool feeling. I am quite excited. I really hope this helps with my legs...blood flow, veins, cramping, all around pain :( I'm happy. Great price. And it was a PAIR of TWO! (some compression sox are sold as singles).

First, I have never worn compression socks before. ...
First, I have never worn compression socks before. Bought them for a long airplane trip, which has yet to happen. But, I did try these on and was pleasantly surprised to see and feel that they fit well. I have long skinny feet, my big toe nail often putting holes in the toes of my socks. These socks had a little extra toe space so my knife point toe doesn't have its usual chance to slash through taut fabric. Also, the constriction these provide seems quite tolerable. I'll upgrade my rating to a 5, or maybe not, after I wear them on the plane and see if they keep my ankles from turning into grapefruits.

okay sock
I work 12 hour shifts (3 days a week), keep my toenails appropriately trimmed and filed. I think I've had these for a couple years now.Minimal slippage, I like that it didn't leave indentions in my calves but still compressed, it tore at the location of the big toe after the first month of wear, and the material does not absorb moisture well (I have sweaty feet). I might have gotten a defective pair, because it tore only on one sock, the other sock is fine. Despite the hole, I still wear them when I need an extra pair of compression socks. They are just not my first or second choice.
