Q: Can it be hung on the door?

Hello, Thank you for your question. Two-way installation with a removable shackle. You could hang it exactly where you need like a doorknob or car. Or you can fix the lockbox on the door or wall. The lockbox is suitable for indoor and outdoor use.

Q: what is the safest door lock box?

"Safe" in what way? MIne had no sharp edges and it's never injured me. If you mean safe from burglary, etc., I suggest it would be wise to do your own research. Having said that, mine works perfectly, nobody has ever broken into it and I'm very confident that will continue to be the case. Best of luck.

Q: What's the difference between Buteny key lock box and Master lock box? Which one is better?

I have no idea. I've never had a Master lock box. You should be able to use Amazon's "compare" feature. I will tell you that I love the Buteny. It's everything I hoped it would be and works just fine.

Q: What are the internal shackle dimensions? Is it wide enough to fit around a water pipe fixture

it is 2.5 inches across and 3.5 inches up and down 1.25 inches depth, but the locking mechanizem takes up some of the space as follows 2.25 across and 1.62 up and down and 1`.25 depth at the top of he lock box. It depends on what type of copper fitting that you want to put in it some thing like an a coupling or elbow would fit, up to about 1 inch. Hope this helps and is not to late for the response.
